There’s a clique in showbiz world, which pretends to be patriotic but its thinking , motives, and ambitions are anti-nationalistic.It seems its pursuing a hidden agenda that is against our religion and our pakistaniat. Their political involvements are with parties who are anti-nationalistic.I won’t name them just to avoid any conflict. But some common traits that can help you identify them:
1.They never commit. In other words they’re like ‘thaali ka bengan’.If they see something bad in society, they would never speak against the perpetrator.Because the perpetrators belong to the same clique as them.
They 're against the idea of making people politically aware. As a result, they always criticize political talk shows and campaign against them.Their stance is these shows are misguiding our society.
They’re nepotistic and promote their own ilk.Though they always talk about values and morals but they never follow those principles themselves.
They’re the biggest advocates of enlightened moderation. Though in real life they’re no saints but they don’t have the guts to admit it openly. Hence, in a camouflaged way they 're spreading their own brand of religion that is anti-islam.
They’ve a special tilt towards india and its culture. India is out open enemy but they would always talk about making friendship and peace with them and how they’re so generous people and the problem lies with us not with them.
They spread hopelessness in society. They would always talk about pakistan is in a dangerous condition and can( God forbid) fall apart anytime. This only serves one purpose, weaken us psychologically.
Since, media is growing rapidly one needs to be aware of these black sheep.
i think people who consider a nation of 1 billion people as its enemy edited....not realizing the fact that that same country has muslims included in its population as well. i don't mean to sound unpatriotic but sometimes i feel some people fail to have an understanding and fail to get out of their own little box and experience the world that exists outside it.
^ you've some serious issues. first of all nobody is promulgating hatred towards 'that country' as claimed by you. and if you're denying the fact that india is our enemy then you need to get some awareness about history as well current affairs.when one talks about india one refers to their government and their establishment not their hapless minority that lives below the poverty line.
if you can't control your emotions then don't bother participating in these discussions.
lilly your subject is very good and nicely put but it has some flaws. If you do not mind I would like to point out a few.
1. This kind of behavior is not specific to show biz these kind of people can be found in every group of people I do not know why you are targeting your crusade against two faced people in show biz though. Any particular reason you would like to share ?
2. That special tilt toward India and and its culture is a global phenomenon nobody seems to have any control over it.
3.Almost all the politicians and majority of Pakistani people are for normalization of relationship with India but you seem to have entirely different point of view. It would be better if you would criticize those who are in favor of this normalization and have a debate and discussion with them.
4. About Pakistan being in serious condition I have been hearing this slogan since my childhood and this mentality is not specific to show biz it is a pet slogan of some losers in Pakistan. I have been hearing two things in Pakistan again and again.
1. Pakistan is going through very critical phase in history.
2. Islam is in danger.
But Alhumduliah Pakistan is standing on solid grounds for still and Islam is way of life for majority of people of Pakistan.
You did not provide any solution to all your observations though you just said that we should be aware of those people. If you do not name names then how people will be aware of those black sheep as you say. I see that you are on a crusade then I would request you to be brave and come out with some specifics , speaking in generic and general terms is not going to help anybody.
You mentioned all the things those black sheep ( as per your definition) do or say but you did not try to prove them wrong with your counter arguments.
this is a showbiz forum so I won't be discussing politicians and other people here.
plus, this is my personal viewpoint. I don't need to give any solution as it's not a thesis . and definitely not a crusade as referred in your post.
thanks for your suggestions though. and I agree that
Alhumduliah Pakistan is standing on solid grounds for still and Islam is way of life for majority of people of Pakistan
I don't think all showbiz people are like that. Alot of them, yes, all of them, no. But I do agree with what you have pointed out Lilly- hypocrisy at it's best.
Woho stop it already you guyz...i dont know wats all this fight is all about but seriously grow up! I am amazed at the mods that such repitative topics arent being closed down. Fine, you dont like the showbiz people so get over it dont obssess with them. Jeez, everywhere i see a topic bashing celebs.
^ It's a concern, people of tv can actually be someone's role-models.. and everyone watches tv. Yes, hypocrisy exists in the real world as well..but we don't jump onto people's screens and claim to be righteous and next-to-perfect and in the same breath (when the camera lights go off) we critisize and mock fellow colleagues.
I've know Anwar Maqsood Uncle now for a longtime now, and not once have I ever heard anyone's else's name from him. If he has something to say he is honest enuff to say it directly to the person..
for number 3. i have never heard any showbiz person talking about morals, not of society and not of their own.
exactly same here, I don't know where that idea came from.

uhh thats called 'acting' on-screen, they are playing 'pretend' in case anyone noticed...and no one beyond the age of 10-12 looks upon actors/celebrities as 'role models' and if they do, then are bigger morons :)
They 're against the idea of making people politically aware. As a result, they always criticize political talk shows and campaign against them.Their stance is these shows are misguiding our society.
don't agree with you on everything but the above point I agree with. and this one really pisses me off. I've heard the likes of Anwar Maqsood and Ali Azmat rant and rave about how evil these political shows are. I'll ignore Azmat because he is little more than a clown. but Mr. Maqsood is a different matter considering how well known he is thanks to PTV.
I've heard Anwar Maqsood go so far as to say that media freedom is a dangerous thing in a country like ours because people are jaahil. what a pompous, arrogant ass! he thinks that just because he wrote some double-meaning, sarcastic jumlas, only he has the right to preach his political agenda to people. what makes even more pathetic is that he rants against political shows when he himself is supposed to be affiliated with the Muttahia Qaatil Movement. PLEASE don't lecture us on politics if you yourself are in bed with a terrorist, fascist organization.
it is like Mazhar Abbas once said that PTV was used to push the agenda of the rulers. and their agenda was to keep the people sedated. so, they wanted people to watch great dramas and quality comedy thanks to PTV but be completely ignorant of politics. but now that political shows are raising awareness among the common people (the one Anwar Maqsood has so much contempt for), former media darlings like Anwar Maqsood and his ilk feel betrayed because they don't get to issue their edicts on how ppl must think about politics.
all these folks are either the elite or the chamchas of the elite. watch how all these showbiz walas were supporters of the former dictator... how they were against the Chief Justice... some of them openly say that Pakistan deserves a military dictatorship and that we are not fit for democracy. their message was always "you can't change anything... everyone is corrupt". they insult the intelligence of the common Pakistani. and I for one am very offended by these Anwar Maqsoods and Ali Azmats. they forget that it is this common, jaahil Pakistani that made them a star in the first place. and at least this jaahil Pakistani has had enough of their insulting, demeaning rubbish.
