Why some people, those who are killing innocent men, women and children in Pakistan indiscriminately ... in their belief (however wrong, illogical, and inhuman their belief could be) become animal, behave like animals, and leave all traces of humanity as well as 'basics of Islam' (here, Islam is religion that Allah sent to all humanity and not just Muslims ... and that is, to love and respect creation of Allah, shun atrocities, immoralities, and wrongs ... stand for justice to all and be willing to self-sacrifice for others)?

I put down some obvious reasons behind this mayhem, but there could be many more.

Bakhuda sach kaha, I myself live among ppls who are religious hooligans according to my understanding. They are capable of doing the most heinous crimes against humanity. They have done so in the past, still doing or trying to do that, and chances are that they are not going to give up in near future too. So I can claim this for sure, its nothing except religious hooliganism which prompts one to kill a fellow human being in the name of mazhab/dharma.

As I always said, U are entitled to ur opinion like all of us. Permit me to tell U something that U can urself ascertain since U are from Karachi itself. Maulana Kalb E Sadiq from India went to Karachi last year to read Majalis in Karachi. I remember him saying that

" Its shame for muslims that the Majalis for Nawasa E Rasool is being organized in protection of armed personals. Hindus in India are better than these muslims, who would do matam, organize sabeels, and even read marsiya in honor of Ahl E Bayt."

Now U are free to condemn the maulana and prove he was lying. But I will believe him over U.

The bomb blast in May 2005 at Sindh Madrsatul Islam happened , when Juma prayers were offered both by Shia and Sunnis simultaneously behind their respective Pesh Imams. So there is no active religious conflict among Karachiites. Politicians (majority so called specular) do play dead bodies politics day and night.

Sorry to say but I think you should get rid of your self perceived ideas about people here in Pakistan while sitting in India. In Karachi, we are getting dead bodies on daily basis and we don't need our Indian brothers to tell us that only particular group / community is being targeted. We have enough of people playing this dirty politics of categorising dead bodies as Shia / Sunni, Pakhtoon / Muhajir, etc

I believe there are three different reasons for most disturbances in Karachi, rather most disturbances all over Pakistan. Two are related to this world and third is related to world here-after (backed by misguided Khawarjee beliefs). All have their own implications, consequences and solutions.

1 … Crime related: People killing and causing disturbances to get wealthy, and to get power (control and influences) in the area, to spread their crime related activities without fear of people (law they buy with money).

Solution: This can get sorted out if corruption, nepotism and mismanagement in government stop, merit becomes norm in job entry, placements, promotions, and hard work is appreciated and rewarded.

End of corruption and nepotism would bring good police officers, honest and fearless judiciary, and honest law enforcement agencies, who can tackle such problem effectively.

Country encouraging merit, eradication of corruption, eradication of nepotism, giving good management and rewarding hard work would make country rich and would create plenty of opportunities for people. That in turn would stop people to take up crime for their living.

2 … Political related: Political parties (or political individuals) killing and causing mayhem for political gain. They may use this technique to intimidate their opponents and give feeling of strength and protection to those who vote and support them.

Solution: This can also end with end of corruption, nepotism, mismanagement, strong and honest law enforcement agencies, judiciary, and police … and obviously with spread of education and liberty (that can only happen when police and judiciary are honest and free).

3 … Religious related: This is the biggest cause of fitna in Pakistan that is spreading in Karachi too.

This is happening in Pakistan because a large group of retarded terrorists under the influence of ‘Khawarjee gurus’ and their Khawarjee beliefs think that killing those who oppose their religious beliefs and creating havoc in Pakistan is their ‘religious Jihad’ that is not only obligatory on them but is the only way that would lead them to Paradise. They are so retarded that for theirs’ this belief, they are even willing to do suicide.

Solution: The way to get rid of this fitna is very difficult, but can be done by fighting this force head-on. It means, fighting and killing these retarded killers wherever they are found, controlling all religious education, venues (Mosques and Madrasas), talks and gathering in country … and punishing severely those who in any way are promoting such people with Khawarjee indoctrination, money, moral support, and by not condemning them.

By sunnis you mean Berelvis than you are right, buy if you mean all who call themselves sunni, than you are wrong. We cannnot ignore the fact if something need to get done on the issue. Fact is that, many people in Pakistan got killed (both Shias and Sunni-Berelvis) over the years by one group (Khawarjees) due to religious sectarianism.

So, do not just say that Sunnis were also reported of getting martyred, as if bombing was not sectarian. If there were Sunnis than most likely all would be Beralvis and there would have been no hard-core Deobandis or Ahle-hadiths (as it is unlikely these people would join such gatherings).

Same is the case with recent bombing of Shias where Sunnis also must have got killed. Again, one cannot ignore the fact that these Sunnis living side-by-side with Shias must be Beralvis as I doubt any Deobandi or at least those deobandis who are Khawarjees would be living side-by-side in town where mostly people are Shias.

I have already said sorry for voicing my opinion, which is more or less the same. Now if U see it a propaganda, than it is unfortunate I would say. Its very easy to blame religious groups for all the killings in the country and ignore those so called secular forces who play politics on dead bodies. There are areas in Pakistan where people from different sects do live in harmony, until exploited by these political forces for their agenda.

This is not the first incident in Karachi where innocent people were killed. There are other reasons also hilighter by Saleem and if those reasons are ignored to blame religion and religious groups, then I'm stood by my words.
