It includes video of the milder portions of the beating that the victim endured.
It was announced today that the girls will be charged as adults which means hard time because they are facing felony charges…maybe THAT will wipe the smirks off their faces and stop their jailhouse-talk to the guards about whether they’ll miss cheerleading practice and (giggle giggle) “I guess WE arent going to the beach this weekend”. Hard time will change THAT attitude pretty fast.

Anyway, I really dont understand what it is about the USA. We have columbine, we have THIS. Yet our guns laws I think are a bit stricter than europe and when I was in Pak, almost EVERY house had at least a few firearms. We ALL have internet access, we ALL have TV.

So what IS it?

But the difference is back home only a small percentage of people have internet access at home, and it is not always used for leisure the way it is here in the US. Its not that easily affordable. So here people are able to use for all sorts of horrible ways if NOT monitored by the parents, and have the time to do so. Back in 3rd world countries, they are just starting to develop better access…cheaper pc’s…not everyone is able to go online anytime with cable/dsl.

Also they might have guns but they don’t have as many influences. TV stations are different there…here you also have copy cat syndrome unfortunately..where media blows up a situation and some crazy person idolizes it and repeats it. Also here mainsteream there are movies on all the time on various cable/satellitel channels. Not everyone there has dish/cable etc with foreign moves…etc…so that makes a big difference as well.
And I agree with what Ira said about parents not being able to give enough time, but its also quality of time. You have top talk to them, talk about current issues…you have to be open enough with kids so that they can come to you.
