i am pretty sure fox sports will show the world cup in canada. They`re gonna be mailing me as soon as they secure the rights - hopefully in the next 10 days Ill let you guys know.

forget it .... atleast the Fox Sports Middle East version one can receive in Europe won't telecast WC free to air .....
but i know that BBC is about to telecast all matches that includes Egland and the Semis + the Final ....

Fox sports canada is like $3.00 a month to order on digital cable.. thats what i pay . atn is 15.00
so, its not a big price to pay even if u order both :)

Would Fox Sports Canada be showing live matches? Because I don't wanna subscribe to it and then find out that they're gonna replay the games late night like they did last time.
I phoned the dude at ATN today, and he told me to call him back on Friday, as they will be 100% confirmed by then.
Also, Fox Sports World/Canada only showed in 1999, that 1 or 2 hour show of highlights from the days play of the World Cup.
True. in 99 they only showed the highlights. I emailed Fox sports as well and they said they will be making a wc deal by the 27th as mentioned earlier in this thread. Hopefully it all works out and all of us get to watch the matches.
Also, wouldn't one assume that Canada being in the world cup might bring some "Added" tv coverage of the world cup? what are every1's thoughts.
Stations like CBC who have no other good content except hockey should consider this.

biz_b: Canada's a new team and it'll be their 2nd world cup (first was some decades ago...), so I don't think that we'll have a lot of Cricket coverage on tv yet. Besides, even if do decide to show a bit of Cricket, it'll be mostly Canadian games, which I believe won't be worth following yet.
Fox sports? What sorta deal? For broadcasting live matches or something to do with PPV?
As for ATN, say if things go as planned, does that mean they'll be showing live South Asian matches?

Because this is no Pakistan series, this is the World Cup, and i'm 100% sure lots of people will be tuning in. (are you going to broadcast everyday a match?)
Dervaish bhai also said he would broadcast. So that's a good sign.
Well if I broadcast using Windows Media then the max I can go is 50 but if I use Helix Producer then there is no limit but then if there are more users watching the bandwidth slows down. I am not a T1 line my net speed is 256.
Anyway its good you mentioned I will configure Helix to broadcast so that more users can logon. I will try my best to broadcast every single match.

I have a website but won't be putting anything on the web site will provide all the info here once its all set and ready, will start it before 2 or 3 days the WC start so that people can test it out.

hahaha, dun worry just a nick not me ;) I've done it in the past ask any known gupy around. Not trying to be smart a$$ or anything like that but I was the one who came up with this idea and started broadcasting Prime TV then the Sharja tournament. Hope this helps.
