we went by turkish airlines when we went for Hajj, they're ok.

Personally I don't like travelling on Turkish either. Had a couple of bad experiences with them. Last time I travelled on Turkish was in 2003, but I've heared that there have been improvements in the meantime.
The reason why I posted the info is, that it is one of the most economic options to get from Europe to Pakistan.

I had bad experiences as well, but mainly with the crew there. Especially their air hostess were very unfriendly, but a lot friendlier to their own country (wo)men.

No, but they have a partnership with PIA for that route. So you can take Turkish Airlines from Vienna to Istanbul and then PIA from Istanbul to Islamabad.
One of the Aunties just went there recently using that route. You know her very well. :)

They have only announced that they will launch the flight some time in 2008. No definite date and therefore not fare information either.

Yaar I took that route last year and it was a disaster. (Our flights were canceled/missed due to hajj travelers and PIA flight is very scary ect...)

Two of my freinds came from London in Jaunary by Hava Yolari and they do not want to fly again on them.

i flew turkish from Sarajevo to Istanbul last May and had no complaints
it was a 2.5 hour flight and the service was very good
i have flown domestically in turkey on Onur Air from Istanbul to Izmir and the service was just as good.. even if you take intercity coaches its like being on a plane, they serve meals and offer drinks even hand lotion! :)

Yes they do have A330s. They also have A340s, A310s,A320s, 321s and A300s (assuming those haven’t been phased out.)

They use A340's from US to Istanbul...I know they mostly use 737-8 from IST-KHI...
just curious....A330 would be nice...it's comfier
