Re: Turkish Airlines to start flights from Istanbul to Lahore in 2008
does anyone know if Turkish Airlines stopped flying into lahore? when? why?
i don't know the reason but they don't fly to Lahore anymore...however, they do fly to Karachi and Islamabad. They use B-737-800 to both destinations from Istanbul.

The announcement had been made but as far as I remember the Istanbul-Lahore route never really materialized.
They do fly to Islamabad though as KKF mentioned.
Umer, what do you think of Austrian Airlines since you live in Austria and you must be flying with them at least domestically. i was recently looking for fares to India and this airlines comes up in online searches more often than before because their fares are lower than most other airlines. i just wonder.

It's a pretty decent airline. Not World Class, ie not comparable to Emirates and the likes. But I still prefer flying with them within Europe as compared to other airlines.
A couple of years ago they started direct flights from Vienna to Mumbai and Delhi. The Mumbai flights however are no longer operational. They still fly to Delhi very successfully though.

thanx for the info...yes, we get connection thru Vienna and once i thought of flying with them so i could get to see Vienna by taking a stop over.
Did you Know that a big deal is gonna be struck between Jet Airways of India and Etihad Airways. Jet Airways will then move it's hub from Brussels to Abu Dhabi...this deal will give Etihad access to more cities in India. i'll be benefited personally because, presently, i take 10 hour train ride to my town because of weight restriction in flying within India. this deal will allow Etihad Airways' passengers to/from North America will be allowed to carry 2 pieces of luggage. :) the deal will come by the end of this month. :)

If you end up flying with Austrian Airlines, let me know. Would be great if we could meet when you are here.

iA, on my next trip in summer, i'll try to visit Vienna...thank you for inviting me! :)
