**
I am sure you have heard the saying (with slight modifications off course).
** Bomb me once, shame on you Bomb me twice, shame on me **
Civilian casualties is the most horrendous outcome of modern warfare. There are only two ways to stop this carnage.
** A - If you are strong, have a bigger bomb than your enemy, but do not initiate hostilities.
B - If you are a weakling, then do not initiate hostilities (period). **
The first ever bombing and killing by Israelis was terrible, thus the shame was definitely on Israelis. Palestinians perhaps did not know that Israel will respond so powerfully. However the second, third or every subsequent bombing means "shame on Palestinians". They have known for decades now, that they should not go to war with Israel (period). And if they do, the sad and vicious cycle of civilian casualties will continue.
Let us understand this a little bit more. Palestine as a state has a moral right to exist. Israel has taken away the right and made the Palestinians stateless. Might is not always right. The poor palestenians do not yet have a leader with vision and is able to comprehend international politics. This statelessness is causing the innocent Palestenians to take up a lost cause. As I mentioned before the onus is on the Arab world to unite and take things to a logical conclusion. By logical conclusion I do not mean war.
Panel discussion is like any other organized event, where the moderating/ referee rules are set BEFORE the start of discussion. If the rules were biased against Turkey, then Erdogan should have not participated in the panel. However if you participate in the panel, you must obey the moderator (biased or not). That's the civilized way of discussions. And Erdogan being emotional (red faced) forgot about this important aspect.
I dont think Erdogan had a clue that the moderator would be so biased. If a moderator does not allow you to speak and your opponent takes away all the credit, I think it is important that some action is taken. Being civilized has its pluses, but has its negatives too. If Erdogan had kept his mouth shut and not acted in the manner, just think about his constituency back home. How would they have reacted. He has a bigger stage to think about. Considering the circumstances, I think it was important that Erdogan walked out of the meeting.
