I was watching the whole episode. I am wondering when you are going to write your own dictionary changing the meaning of retaliation.:)
What I saw is that, Police started shelling tear gas and firing at peaceful crowd, it was not that crowd attacked police ... but when facing shelling of tear gas and gun fires, crowd retaliated with 'Danda and stones' and then Police when seeing 1000s of charged crowd made a run towards Raiwand.
[Gullu Police of Punjab are fortunate, as if that would have happened in Karachi, crowd would have retaliated with AK47, grenades and rockets (not danda and stones) ... and it was also possible that ... with time, all police officers involved would have got targeted and killed ... what happened in Lyari against police action ... or what happened to police and other officers after 1990s operation]
So, what you mean by 'police have retaliated'?

Bhai jaan ... you should know the difference between TTP and TUQ.
TTP is fighting Pakistan armed forces, killing innocent civilians, doing suicide attacks on military installations as well as places of worship, attacking minority religious communities, kill people trying to live their own life without harming anyone, playing football with people's head they cut it out brutally after giving them unparalleled pain and inflicting torture, and so on. These Khawarijs do not want revolution, they want anarchy where they can impose their will over others and kill who they do not like
Whereas TUQ want inqilab so that country becomes livable and safe from Gullu Kamina who is illegally occupying state power as they not only rigged the election but did not even qualify to contest election ... further, these Gulla kaminas are using state machinery to inflict atrocities on people, torture and kill them ... use state power to loot, plunder, exploit, misgovern, and destroy the country. This Gullu has also killed many innocent TUQ supporters after attacking at TUQ residence.
So ... there is big difference between TUQ looking for revolution (as that is only desiring Pakistan to run according to constitution) ... and that revolution is against those who have violated Pakistan constitution, and grabbed power illegally.

PAT supporters arrested on "terrorism" charges? Really? Then MQM supporters should all be arrested on terrorism charges too. They actually cause damage without even being incited, like burning buses, and cars, and tires and damaging property and businesses.

TuQ has been blacklisted by Emirates Airlines. the airline will also sue Pak govt for damages.

I'm not surprised.
PMLN needs to do itself another massive favour and give Saad Rafique the boot or put him on the leash. He's just as toxic and dangerous as Rana Sana Ullah, and he tends to make issues very personal and likes to incite needless arguments. Due to his characteristically dumb and trigger happy approach, PMLN made things far more difficult and embarrassing for itself by diverting the plane.
If the PMLN wants to survive as a party and the government, they'll have to do something with the chest thumping, egoistical, maniacal *Sultan Rahiyaat *of their ministers. Ideally, they need give their roughnecks a rest, and make a better use of people like Ch. Nisar and Ahsan Iqbal.

For all their talk of democracy, the sharifs don't really like democracy. They need democracy to get into power and then use the country as their personal fiefdom. PPP had plenty of faults but they were much more tolerant of the judiciary, media, opposition etc. PMLN would've attacked the SC by now if it gave them the kind of trouble that CJ corruption gave to PPP.
With their antics, it doesn't look as if they'll last the 5 years.
