TUQ stopped people from leaving the plane? When did that happen? As far as I remember, he himself refused to disembark, perhaps alongwith his own entourage…but I dont remember reading that he disallowed any other passenger from disembarking. Plus, I dont think the passengers were in Lahore by choice. They all had tickets for ISB, where they were disallowed entry by the govt for no valid reason other than its own ineptness.
Im not biased, as I have no reason to root for TUQ, but the fact remains that while he is a self-centered religious egoist, the govt itself is a chock-full-of blunders. The matter could have been resolved very easily, and it was PMLN that chose to make it difficult.
