Trying to Conceive (The highs and lows)

Re: Trying to Conceive (The highs and lows)

Candy Apple

I am so gald thatw e have this thread and apologies for not posting sooner.

I am so sorry to hear about your thyrid issues and inshALLAH you will get resolution

I have learnt that a 2nd opinion is always important and try to read up in regards to what hormones are affected by your illness and how they impact your other hormone levels so that yo can manage them

I’d take advice in regards to using BCP’s etc as it really messes up the hormone balance and it can take months or years depending on how long you have been using them .. BCP elevate the oestrogen level and cause progesterone to be significantly lower which in turn leads to implantation to be more difficult.. as in early miscarriages are more likely

Try and look at herbal remedies as well as focusing on a diet to resolve your underlying symptoms

Chin up sweets.. have hope ..we have plenty of time inshALLAH :hugz:

Re: Trying to Conceive (The highs and lows)

I went for u/s to check on my cyst last week, its still there, but its smaller. I am going in again this monday, please pray that its gone by then and i have some progress with my lining and follicles! :hinna:
I will keep you guys updated inshAllah

Re: Trying to Conceive (The highs and lows)

Confucius - It's worth a shot. Personally green tea did not work for me but then I was only drinking like 1 or 2 cups a day.

How about accupuncture? Has anyone tried it? I heard it works great in conjuction with IVF but I am not at that point yet and dont know yet if my problem is easily treatable with oral meds (i.e. clomid) or if I will need more vigorous treatment such as IUI and IVF. I'm in the investigative cycle right now so I just have to wait for the doctor's diagnoses.

AngelEyess - InshAllah your cyst will be gone. Baby dust to all.

I think I have read that green tea can interfere with the absorption of folic acid, you might want to look into that before drinking too much of it a day

Acupuncture is supposed to be really good when you are trying to conceive, whether you are doing IVF/IUI or just trying naturally. Even if you have no diagnosed fertility problems, it can be helpful in improving the flow of blood and energy in your body and especially around your uterus to help with implantation. Just make sure you pick an acupuncturist who is specially trained for fertility. You can also read the book The Infertility Cure, for more information on conceiving with Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture, herbal supplements, diet etc). Even if someone isnt infertile, it can be very helpful in restoring the natural balance of the body

Re: Trying to Conceive (The highs and lows)

hina imran, dont worry. Just keep on trying, the more you get stressed the more longer it will take to concieve.. my doc said you should not stress while trying. :)

Girls should i be taking folic acid while im trying to concieve?

Also i used the ClearBlue ovulation detector this time, but it did not detect any ovulation :( I thought i would get the timing right this month. Is it possible that i dont have any ovulation at all ? :S
