I announced it to everyone as soon as I got the BFP and I had a very complicated pregnancy.. my mom thinks I got nazar so next time I dont plan to tell anyone!!! until the baby is here :D

For all you sisters trying to conceive..as you are trying other medications and treatments please try the following too. May Allah Tala fulfill your wishes and blesses you all with aulad (Aameen)..
I came across this:
"Waalaikumussalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Bismillahir rahmaanir rahim.
Allah Taala mentions in the Holy Quraan:
‘To Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He creates whatever He wills; He gives to whomever He wills, in the way of children, females, and He gives to whomever He wills, males. Or He combines them (or) He makes them, males and females; and He makes whomever He wills infertile. Surely He is All Knowing, All Powerful.’ (Surah As-Syuraa, verses 49 - 50)
These are two supplications made by Zakariyya AS when he wanted Allah to grant an offspring to him :
This first one was made when Zakariyya AS saw that Allah provided sustenance for Maryam AS by giving her the fruits of winter in summer and the fruits of summer in winter, he was eager to have a child of his own. By then, Zakariyya AS had become an old man, his bones feeble and his head full of gray hair. His wife was an old woman who was barren. Yet, he still supplicated to Allah and called Him in secret (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, vol. 1, pg. 224):
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ
‘Oh My Lord! Bestow upon me from Thee a goodly offspring, verily, Thou are the Hearer, Answerer of supplication.’ (Surah Al-Imraan, part of verse 38)
The second supplication is :
رَبِّ لاَ تَذَرْنِي فَرْداً وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْوَارِثِينَ
‘My Lord, do not leave me without an heir and You are the best of inheritors.’ (Surah Al-Anbiyaa, part of verse 89)
Insya Allah, read these duaas in abundance and Allah shall grant you a child. At the end of the day, we as Allah’s servants can only hope and try.

Assalaam u alekum all, I did'nt know that being a male, should I enter this forum or not? but with all due respect I am daring to write something with the best hopes that if I could get some better advices here insha'Allah. I am writing all this on behalf of my wife, we got married in June 2007 and by the date its almost 4 and half years passed alhamdulillah, in starting my wife conceived after 3 months but got missed carriage with in 7 weeks, after that she conceived in June 2009 and that again missed carriage within 6-7 weeks. (I am telling all this in short) after that we went through so many things, both of us got tested ourselves so many times and after few light dozes and treatments, both of us found ourselves quite well but the results are nill. She is not even conceiving now after that last missed carriage. We shall be very grateful and keep praying if somebody could guide us the right way, that where should we go now and what should we do?

well you guys did the first step, in which you saw a doctor and got tested. it seems like your wife can get pregnant - which is a good thing :) Now she just has to carry the baby. Has you doctor ever talked to you about Progesterone? This lady at my office had similar issues and the doctor made her take Progesterone for the first 3 months after she did fall pregnant, and mashallah she now has 2 healthy kids one year apart :)
are u willing to do other procedures such as an IUI or even IVF?

Many reproductive specialists prescribe the progesterone as a standard. I took it (prometrium) for 7 weeks, at which point the doctor felt that I would be able to carry on my own.

Progeterone can be taken even without the IUI.

Hi ladies.. ok so we just got our BFN :( - not too sure what to feel right now but since AF isn't here yet, the doc wants me to continue on cyclogest for the next week incase I am pregnant. Going in for another Beta-HCG on Monday.
I had my first IUI on the 16th of Jan. after many medicated treatments we finally got to the insemination part.
Prayers for everyone waiting to hear about their BFP's - just needed some support so posted on here :)

how many days in your cycle are u in mysti? Just wondering how come ur doc might think you might be pregnant even though the beta was negative.

I'm 7 weeks preg and went for a scan today because i had mild period like cramps and a little brown sticky smelly discharge. I was so scared :( The doctor did not find the hearbeat, maybe i'm not exactly 7 weeks preg yet. Going again tomorrow to get HCG tested... Please pray for meeeeee and my baby

afshi.. this might be tmi but I have PCOS so my period length is very irregular. My cycle started on the 28th of december.. so technically im 32 days into my current cycle.. haven't had a period as yet so the count is ongoing. Don't know why my doc thinks the way he does but he just wants to play it safe incase I am preggers and if I stop taking the progesterone the pregnancy (if any) will result in miscarriage.. so another week will confirm his suspicions I guess.

Thnx Afshi for your kind reply. No, I think nobody ever talked us about progesterone, even I've read this word 1st time in your reply :( but lemme tell you that my wife got tested prolactin several times. she has also taken clomid several times, but of no use. and for your last question, we have'nt think about any other procedure yet as we are willing to do things in natural way. I just wanted to know that can anybody tell us about any good obstetrician in karachi other than AKU, South City and few other big names like these?
