This isn't the true face of India but it is a sad reality in certain areas around the country. However your link shows there are also many Indians who are fighting against such castism, the reporters in this instance.

or if i post news about people searching pakistans search on google for sex i.e. goat sex, animal sex which pakistan leads the world in , is it real face of islamic pakistan?

Question to ask here is IF Hindus of lower Caste are shunned in Public…

Then what status do Muslims have in India, since Muslims are obviously considered even Lower than Dalits?

Here is the elephant in the room noone wants to address - it is about caste, not religion. A muslim is not considered "lower than a dalit" if he/she was originally from a higher caste.

To the best of my knowledge, caste extends its evil influence in Pakistan also.

From the glass half full perspective, kudos to NDTV for publicizing this particular incident. More publlicity such incindents receive, the better. At least in this instance, the Indian press did a good job.

Yes you are right Pakistan does have social strata discrimination against those who have low paying jobs, even though a religous caste system does not exist but a dangerously Ugly and destructive discrimination between religous sects and ethnic origins exists.

Yes, violence against Dalits still exists India. But the systemetic oppression is on the wane. Mayavati a Dalit and that too a woman is the CM of a state who oversees thousands of upper caste burocrats. Speaker of the house is a Dalit woman, the most corrupt minister (Raja) is a Dalit.

When I was growing up (20+ years ago), the local temple run by predominently orthodox brahmin south indian middle class men (iyers and iyengars) had a Dalit in the committee who was allowed to do everything that others did. Things are changing for good, especially in the South.

I wish Pakistan can show an Ahamedya as a Chief Minister leave alone a non-muslim. On the contrary when I see news like this, I wonder where it is heading.
