How do you feel about this? Is this a direct violation of the Constitutional rights? If so, aren’t the representatives in Congress and Senate sworn an oath to protect the Constitution, yet go ahead to present this bill?
Its passage is anyone’s guess at this point, but i suppose it would become an extension of The Patriot Act, except it would now be spread wider and cover virtual lives as well as physical.
On the other hand, could this bill prove beneficial?
A "troll" is someone who intentionally and persistently posts inflammatory messages about sensitive topics to bait users into responding or provoke a confrontation.

Those sensitive topics might be govermental or any like personal or others or all.

More restriction as to what we can do and say…do the constitutional rights even exist, or is it something they say to make us feel ‘involved’??.. This type of trolling and cyber bullying will never become obsolete… so why not inject us all with a microchip so we are pre-programmed and the ‘government’ (government being the U.S of @$$h01£$) can control what we say and do… :rotato:
I dont think its a violation of contitutional rights at all. Actually, it protects the constitutional rights of "the people" to be free to their own "life, liberty and the persuit of happiness" without regard to race, color, religion or creed.
Freedoms come with responsibilities. If you disagree with someone, thats fine and you can so state. But threats and insults cross a line, they can have the same or sometimes worse impact than a physical attack. We've seen that in the news when bullied school kids go nuts and start shooting up their schools. Or when bullied kids commit suicide. It doesnt only happen to school kids either. Adults are just as prone to react when attacked whether they're attacked with words or with physical violence.
We have freedoms here...but they are meant to be used with responsibility and respect for others.
Yes ; however, More and more people feel like their liberties are being taken for a joyride under the cloak of "security". Cyber bullying and threat may indeed be a serious issue, and under circumstances where reported to proper authorities, they can already be dealt with under current laws. Passage of this bill will basically open the door for endless cyber patrolling to the point, where the guy sitting there watching your conversation might not like what you say because he "feels" you're being a bully. Would you want to end up in a position where your speech is interpreted by someone who does not even know you? Let alone know the context of your conversation?
