When Akhtar was not chucking, not drugging, not hitting team-mates with a bat, not battling genital diseases, not huffing and puffing to his bowling run-up, not fielding like he was doing everybody a favor....he was a pleasure to watch.

Sour grapes?? thread is to commemorate Akhar's services and his extreme and brilliant talent...
He never chucked nor does he chuck now...you MR. Some1 knows that very well. He has hyperextension in his arm which was proven years ago. And no need to bring up his personal diseases...he never made it public, rather it was the bumblings of PCB.
So stop the nonsense. He is the fastest bowler today and he is from Pakistan. So take that. Find one of his like in the bowling deserts of India, even with some dysfunctionalities like Akhter, and then come back with your put downs.

No one can deny that he was one of the greatest fast bowlers. He did not do justice to his abilities but he provided us with lots of great moments.

well done WALEED ... he is def worthy of appraisal ... cuz of him we won so many matches!! he has always tried to give exceptional performance, though i still regret the fact he didnt played in semi final!!! :( but oh well!!! Wahab Riaz was a very good replacement!!! :) so proud of everyone !!! ... however, it might be a lil off topic, but since you guys are talking abt appreciating our players, I was wondering do u guys know of any email or contact where we can send our wishes and appraisal to the Pakistan team?? esp Afridi for bringing back the same unity and support among players!!! i TRIED to look for something but couldnt find anything authentic ... !!
