Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

ok, but mention their best work according to you

Haseena moin
Tanhayian,dhoop kinary,parosi

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Padosi and not Ankahi. Haseena Moin wrote some beautiful scenes for Pakistani drama industry. If you haveto share one of those scenes, which scene will you chose?

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Ashir Azeem: though not a professional writer, but he wrote dhuwan, my all time favourite drama so he deserves a mention

Haseena moin: For dhoop kinaare, though my most favourite is unkahi but i think shoaib mansoor and mohsin ali deserves more credit for unkahi.

Noor-ul-huda shah: ab mera intezar kar, marvi, ajaib khana, jungle etc, no need to say more.

Fatima surraiya bajia: Afshan drama, what i like most of bajiya's dramas she always focused on unity of family relations.

Anwar maqsood: Half plate offcourse.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Shoaib Mansoor

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

I think Ashir Azeem is an exception, but many of the writers who established their names in Pakistani drama industry proved themselves in their first serials.

Amjad Islam Amjad's Waris (though his first serial) is his best work.

Abdul Qadir junejo's Deewaren is his best.. same goes true for Noor ul Huda Shah's Jungle.

Asghar Nadeem Syed's Darya is epic and part of syllabus of some universities in southern Punjab for its depth.

Writers probably come with all their intensity and expression while writing their first project.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Which project?

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

^^ shoaib mansoor offcourse but i admire (infact saltue) him more as a director.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Sunehre Din and Alpha Bravo Charlie

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Shoaib Mansoor did utilised Military fiction (Col Muhammad Khan Gentlemen Bismillah, Gentlemen Alhamd o Lillah) in these serials and there were many things he added himself to scripts and developed detailed characters. He was amazing executor not only in these serials but programs like Fifty Fifty, Silver Jubilee, Gulls & Guys. I think he lost some where while making the projects like 'Khuda ke liye' and 'Bol'. His lighter side / humor lost somewhere.

Oh yes ankahi bhe
Let me re-call those scenes

Yahan aap thoro ziadti ni kr gaye HM k saath

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Alif Noon ... kamal rizvi something?
Aangan Terha....Anwar Maqsood

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Kamal Ahmed Rizvi, a different type of writer. Alif Noon is definitely a classic.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Amjad islam amjad: offcourse for waris, samandar (though samandar's script was inspired from count of monte cristo but great drama).

Ashfaq Ahmed: man chale ka soda

Bano qudsia: raat gaye (drama 85), kallo

As i mentioned in another thread about long play haft aasman, can't exactly remember the writer's name (most probably late hameed kashmiri) but i salute to that writer too.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Half plate, angan terha and nadaan nadia by anwar maqsood
cheating kr li upar wali posts sy

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

hahaha, actually what i think no doubt she penned the scenes but those scenes (especially the comic ones) were directed with so much perfection that credit goes to directors, not many directors can handle comic situtations as showman and mohsin ali did in unkahi.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Samandar was inspired from Count of Monte Christo? I heard critics saying it was inspired from Punjabi movies. lols. Dumas ki rooh taRap gai hogi :rotfl:

Ashfaq Ahmed’s ‘Fehmida ki Kahnai, Ustani Rahant ki Zubani’ is a gem. a complete team effort beautiful script, flawless direction of MNH and memorable performance of Begum Khursheed Shahid (especially the last scene).

Bano Qudsia’s Kallo was dramatised by Neelam Ahmed Bashir (Bushra Ansari’s sister).

Haft Aasman was by Hameed Kashmiri, who had on his credit serials like Shikast e Aarzoo, Padash, Dharas, etc. A brilliant writer indeed.
