What do you think is the Zewar (treasure) of a woman ?
Once the Prophet (saw) asked Hazrat Fatima (r.a), what is the treasure of a woman ?
Hazrat Fatima (r.a) replied, that no man (stranger) is able to see her, and she doesn’t see any (stranger) man.
The Prophet (saw) huged her and said, after all you are my daughter. (The prophet saw didn’t add anything to what Hazrat Fatima (r.a) defined as the treasure of a woman.
Hazrat Fatima (r.a), Hazrat Khadija (r.a), Hazrat Ayesha (r.a) and our other ideals (the mothers of the Ummah) never gave a single chance to a stranger man to be able to see any part of their body, not even once in their whole life. They always took complete precautionary measures to prevent a stranger man (both Muslims and non Muslim) from polluting his own eyes through them, no matter how much he tries to do so. Also Hazrat Fatima (r.a), before she left this world, conveyed this message to Hazrat Ali (r.a), that she had already taken bath, hence the cloth should not be removed from even a bit of her body. And her Janaza (funeral) should take place at night so that it is even more protected from the eyes of na-mehram. Also a tent kind of covering was used around her janaza. The word "Aurat" in Arabic used for a woman, means "something that is hidden". Allah (swt) doesn't even like that a woman's name be disclosed in front of na-mehrams, that is why you would not find the names of any woman in the Quran except Maryam (a.s), that too was mentioned to clarify to Christians that Isa is not a son of God but he is actually the son of Maryam Marry (as Jesus didn't have a father). Other than that you would always find in Quran a woman mentioned in reference of a man related to her. Like, "Adam's wife", "the wife of Pharaoh", "the wife of Imran", "Musa's wife", "Musa's sister", "Musa's mother", "Ibrahim's wife", "Nuh's wife", "Lut's wife", "Abu Lahab's wife", the wife of an Egyptian chief who tried to seduce Yusuf, the queen of sheba who refuses her advisors to try their military prowess against Hazrat Sulaiman, "the wives of the Prophet (saw).."...etc.

May everyone be blessed with the strength and wisdom to preserve this treasure because:
Abu Hurairah (Radhiyallahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) has said,
From the inhabitants of Hell are the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (toward men) and make men incline towards them. They will not enter Jannah and they will not smell its scent whereas its fragrance would be smelt from such and such distance.
ahhhhhhh idk so my dad always says that no matter how much our society will evolve and get madranize , at the end of the day people will usually respect that woman whos in chadar/dupatta.I am sorry but i dont think that form of pardah (shareeyah kind) can be applied in our desi society. i have seen a few implementing it but i find element of hypocrisy because they usually brag abt it later or make it such a big deal.
cmg, not doubting your intentions but why the obsession (of our conservative brethren) with this topic? a man talking about how a woman should dress up sounds a bit weird.
^ Brother, I personally feel that just like there is nothing wrong in women talking/discussing about how a man should control his gaze: We had few discussions in the recent past about this topic, it is ok to address this issue as well. Here is one example (that included both genders):
I personally feel that irrespective of the gender, it is duty of everyone of us to address the violations of one’s religion that is practiced by sinful Muslims like me in daily life.
May ALLAh give hadayat to us all Ameen I am not doing that kind of pardah but I have special respect for the ladies who do full hijaab. May ALLAH give me guidance also Ameen
thanks for sharing CMG.

THIS attitude invites blessings, barakah and takes people to great heights, sooner or later. It is the first step to humbly accept what is missing and a sincere intention of correcting oneself. (instead of getting irritated by reminders)
p.s. I myself am not a good practicing Muslim, but I shouldn't deceive myself by closing my eyes towards the truth and expect Allah (swt) to change HIS rules and orders for me in this life and in the life hereafter. I should try my level best to appreciate and acknowledge when people bring up the orders of Allah (swt) that (highlights the flaws in my personality), also the ways of the Prophet (saw) that I am presently not following due to my own weakness of faith (Imaan), will power, and due to the dirt of my own nafs. I should blame myself for having a low aim instead of blaming (for giving me a guilt trip) those who remind me of my duties in Islam (It is duty of everyone of us to remind each other). I become sinful due to lack of my own commitments, not because anyone points it out to me. In fact I should try to thank them for their sincere intentions instead of judging their intentions. (which only Allah swt knows)
When the Prophet (saw) raised the bar for the Suhabas (r.a), they used to try even more to the best of their ability to follow as much as possible (giving sacrifices of their own desires) and still humbly blaming themselves when they couldn't achieve the heights that Hazrat Abu Bakr (r.a), Hazrat Umar (r.a), Hazrat Usman (r.a) and Hazrat Ali (r.a) achieved in that intense competition. (for excelling in achieving great milestones awaiting in the hereafter life).
Once a lot of Suhabas (r.a) fell on the ground (in the masjid during namaz) due to hunger, weakness and lack of sleep but still they used to humbly consider it a 'nothing effort' when they used to think about the greatness of Allah (swt) and His infinite blessings upon them. But people like me today are totally satisfied about their efforts even after obeying very less the orders of Allah (swt) and the ways of the Prophet (Saw). May Allah (swt) guide us all.
He said that *Allah (swt) doesn't even like that a woman's name be disclosed in front of na-mehrams. *
There is a huge difference between what he said and what you turned that into
even then it doesn't make sense to me.....Allah didn't mention the names for whatever reason (we don't know the reason) but we still know the names through ahadith and previous scriptures.

Oh no. I can't go grocery shopping :(.
Well, I guess a lot has to do with neeyah in this day and age.
Mary is the most important woman In Islam and there isn’t one or two verses about her in Quran, in fact, a whole chapter has dedicated to her…and this genius comes in to claim that God mentioned her name just because HE HAD TO clarify a confusion.
