Treadmill challenge

Everyday… 30 mins.
Run crawl or walk… need 30 mins everyday. Anybody in?!?

Re: Treadmill challenge

:hayaa:… 10 mins max…:@:

Re: Treadmill challenge

Me, me..me!!! I did 20 today thou :| speed walk

Re: Treadmill challenge

5.5 incline 4.2 mph speed with 3 lb hand weights.. try that, 20 mins in and i felt like dying..

Re: Treadmill challenge

What kinda hand weights do you use?! I normally have the inclination set to 9-10 with 5 mph speed and I always feel the need to hang on to the side bars every now and then :/ ... Do you use strapped wrist weights or free weights?!

Re: Treadmill challenge

You ladies have a better start than I do. I cant even do all that jazz jhanjhu.. Id fall on my face and slide down with my limp body. Im starting on 3.5 incline at 1 and a tv show.

Re: Treadmill challenge

I use free weights since that's the only option they have at the gym. and wow 5 mph ?!? i would roll right off the treadmill with that kinda speed 5.6 is my jogging/running speed and that too on max 2 incline.

Re: Treadmill challenge

I am in. But for the weekend, i will have to do either outdoor walking for 30 minutes or eliptical.

Re: Treadmill challenge

I did 60 mins of power walking on that thing yesterday 4.38 distance :snooty:

Re: Treadmill challenge

ladies ladies ladies....be more efficient...interval training...
run, walk, run, walk, run, walk and in 20 minutes you would have done more than someone jogging for an hour...

Re: Treadmill challenge

^ i did that fours times this week. 5 minutes of walking, 10 minutes of running, 10 minute of walking with 12incline, 5 minutes of running :) 5 minutes of cool down ...totally loved it!
Had to skip and pray jummah during lunch today :) but will do 30 minute on the eliptical tonight iA!

I have to keep it low impact due to a knee injury so no running for me.. I do sneak in jogging but the pain afterwards isnt worth it :naak:

Re: Treadmill challenge

I do interval training for my cardio as well. Probably less so because it's beneficial and more so, because I can't do sustained running for extended periods.

Re: Treadmill challenge

get a recumbent bike and do sprints and low intensity on that…i would still start slow with the knee situation but that should be better than running for you

Re: Treadmill challenge

I freaking can't do any running.. or jogging, or vigorous walking for a few months :(
so only weights, swimming is another option but i dont have time to go to the pool.
I have managed to give myself a lisfranc, freaking hell :( may have to get screws put in my foot...unless the hoof starts healing with plasma and cortisone n shyt in the next few weeks

Re: Treadmill challenge

i usually have this sequence:

4 min walk at speed 6, 2 min run at 9, 3 min run at 12, 1 min run at 9 ... then repeat twice with some variations depending on my mood and the day ... sprinting is so much fun ... cant wait to get through the initial few minutes of walking to move on to running ...

i am biased towards running on the ground though instead of treadmill. tires you more, and keeps you involved with navigating your way through the track ... in contrast running on treadmill is like being on cruise control ...

Re: Treadmill challenge

you guys are awesome. My "jogging" is at 3.5-4 :(

Re: Treadmill challenge

Just fyi. For the wife if she does 12 min per mile in treadmill, she can do 11:45 min per mile at the track for her continuous run. I would have thought opposite. Since treadmill is cruise control.

Shows you advantage of running outside. Without music and other crape.

Re: Treadmill challenge

Great thread Moodie

Last week I just got on it again after months…3.5 incline with a 4…with my goal time which is 42-45 mins…3 times a week.

I am actually kinda excited to be working out again, now that its starting to warm up a bit; my treadmill is in the garage; hence all winter I looked at it like with such desperation :bummer:

No more I say…c’mon ladies let’s keep at it :biggthumb:

Re: Treadmill challenge

Cardio workout for this week. 42 mins both sessions…I try not to push to an hour since the aim is to do it everyday

**Last night - 4 incline with a 3 speed

This afternoon - 3 incline with a 4 speed**

Feeling great alhamdulilah…:k:

How are you ladies holding up with the workouts?
