Is it true that one needs a visa if one’s flying en route through Paris or Frankfurt even if the layover is a few hours ?

I wanted to book a tkt US to Dubai with Air France and the travel agent told me they might need a visa . Would anyone know for sure or has any information regarding this ?

yes,the travel agent told you right.You do require transit visa for France while you travel from US to Dubai via Paris.

The only country which I know does not require Pakistanis to have a transit visa while going through its airport... else, France, germnay,Swiz etc, all require transit visa

thats why, Darn KLM, Lufthansa and Swiss :D

My Mamu (Pakistani national) had to get a transit visa for Germany on his way from Islamabad to New York via Frankfurt. That was 3 years ago and I don't think that anything has changed with regards to that.
