I know it is easy to blame human traffickers. However I have been saying that the bad attitude of many overseas Pakistanis who are full of seething hate for the west and are enemies of this society share a large portion of the blame. It is their belligerent attitudes and bad behaviour in society that has limited the opportunities for Pakistanis to move to the west.
I used to see scores of immigrants from Pakistan in early 2000 and due to unfortunate circumstances the immigration has severely declined. We are flooded with immigration from India, Philippines, Nepal.
So let us reflect on how our behaviour has torpedoed the chances of many Pakistanis wanting to move to the west

Very tragic accident indeed. Eye witness accounts indicate that it was a horrible journey and a painful death. I don’t want to give a philosophical and academic answer. I think Greek coast guards are directly responsible. The engine of the boat had failed and the boat remained in the same spot for at least 7 hours before it capsized. Overseas Pakistanis do a lot for Pakistan even if you aren’t doing anything for the country.
Look at where Pakistan is now since NRPs sent about $4 billion less this year than last year. Pakistani has a quasi democracy for many years so it is ultimately the selfish establishment + elites and then the awaam that keeps re-electing bad leaders in Pakistan. People are also to blame when they have a dozen kids but don’t have resources to raise them. They should remember that quality trumps quantity in the end.
Lack of opportunities to immigrate legally falls squarely on bad behaviours of people who immigrated. There are people who are anti society here, promote extremism, fight with employers and establishment, many came with fake degrees, many come with poor quality education and really bad attitudes. Canada has benefited immensely by Indian immigrants, they are promoting students, temporary workers to get immigration status. We get 11k from Pak, 120k from India.
Both husband wife work and do not have instances of fighting with the social system here.
Same with Filipino and also Nigerians who become positive members of society and Canada becomes more open to immigration from there.
Population control is the key of majority of illness of Pakistan. Bring back the population back to 1971 level in the next 3 decades. Strong laws should be passed for 2 children per couple and marriage age for women 25 and men 28. If someone violates the laws, khassi kardo in ko. Pakistan is now over populated chasing to few resources with so many people, facing disaster after disaster like above one.
He has amassed billions of Rs, I don’t understand from where he got the so much money, even he is selling MTJ brand salwar qamees highly over priced in the the market, he could not have Rs. 66 billions in the banks . However strong laws on polygamy and number of children permitted should be passed otherwise poor people will keep on drowning in the Mediterranean Sea.
I would say its mindset of our people. People spend all their lives laid back. When faced with practical life challenges, start running for shortcuts. Politician would hardly do anything for you. Unless you start realizing your rights and stop wasting time on hunting for govt/easy jobs, there is no change.

By the way I still stand by population control and reduction of the population of Pakistan to 1971 level. Why I am saying that because Pakistan is not as huge as USA, Canada, China or even India. The limited land can only sustain a given number of souls, definitely not supporting population explosion. A glare example is of Bangladesh former East Pakistan, whose population was more that West Pakistan in 1971. Now it is far behind than West Pakistan, now Pakistan. At present its economy is far superior than economy of Pakistan.

The point is if you were a good engineer back home and our investor would invest for creating more jobs (local manufacturing) instead of keep a donkey work business like import vehicle parts and assemble, it would have been even better. There more institutes than you can count in LHR alone. Issue is our institutes are not attached to market and are not producing entrepreneurs. Universities there are fully integrated with market. Here, Master in business are doing counter and field sales jobs which a matriculation guy can do. Master in science are giving tutions in academies. You cannot imagine a Master in chemistry guy doing textile chemicals job for example. So we need to get quality not quantity.
I have already said that pakistanis for most are below average intelligent. People need to get out of sarkari job mindset and go for entrepreneurships.
Not really. However their intelligence is utilized on negative things. e.g their creativity is used in making money by unfair means, how to downgrade opponents or who you dislike etc., Looking at Pakistani drama series, the talent is far better than Bollywood or Hollywood. Only good leadership without the interference of mullahs or establishment is needed to set the direction of the country. At the moment, Pakistanis are still wandering for the last 78 years to find the purpose of existence and God knows how many more years to follow.
Back to the topic, those who send people illegally abroad are well connected and they share money with those who look after their interests. After research, scholars with other domain people, attempt to apply the research in industry or at smaller level. In Pakistan, research is done to clear the exams and get degree. Application of research is an alien thing here.
