Tragedy of Jawaan Maut

Re: Tragedy of Jawaan Maut

In sub-continent (areas which now forms part of India and Pakistan) has a link with this young age death (life expectancy) and marriages at young age. Marriages at young age (12-13 years) was acceptable norm, because in most cases ladies died in 40s across sub-continent. It was, therefore, considered unsuitable to remain unmarried even after 20s. Education and increase average span of life has not changed the perception in many areas todate.
