My initial response was not for emreekan emreekan, it was for paki amreekans.
Now amreekan amreekans, who watch TV 300 hrs a week only know one act of ugliness, sep 11.
How ever you would think paki amreekan, would know more.
When paki amreekan wants to express them self(which they are not really welcome to do) , they only do it when it goes fine with majority.
What makes you say that with such certainty?
^I have no idea what monk wrote and I don't really care either but it doesnt give u the authority to be calling Muslims "mooslam" as a member of this forum and someone who has Muslims friends, you should learn to show respect!
Like I said I never read monks post and I don't really care what the discussion was about either. But what ever it was it still doesn't give u the right to be using the word "Mooslam" to describe Muslims. Its people like you that have the need to turn to name calling that start feuds and hatred in the first place.
that was my attempt to type up popular paindoo opinions in a paindoo accent, not put down muslims by calling them mooslam. and for teh record, i didn't put down "especially" by calling it "aspaslee", or "world" with "warald". but anyway, if people are offended, feel free to report the post.
Because when you have a big mess up at your own home & country you dont go around helping others. Its same as .. if a family member was sick and a neighbour is sick, you definitely attend to your family member first.
So when the 2005 Earthquake took place, literally more than a million Pakistanis from the entire country went as volunteers to the North to help people. If you're in Pakistan, you would definitely know many people in your circle who did go all the way up specially those who were doctors & celebrities to help others. My own mamoon took trucks full of groceries and items 4 times all the way after traveling 24 hours to give to some random strangers who were in pain.
Same way when the floods took place last year, so much of aid was collected and people personally went to Sindh and areas to give to people in need.
The difference is: These acts are not highlighted, neither does our media cover it, neither do our people appreciate it enough other wise lots of people around us help others a lot.
Let alone the floods & earth quakes, the amount of charity we give our maids & those under privileged living near us is in not comparable to the gora class. Our religion teaches us about zakat, fitrana, sadqa and all such forms of helping others. We are just not proud of and we as a whole don't flaunt about of what we have or what we do, neither does our media give any attention!
Yes.
Out of sight, out of mind.
More someone sees any event on media, more that person will think about it or feel connected to it.

Peace queer
I took no offense in what you wrote 'cos I know what you intended ... Just a note though ... mooslam from memory is not the paindoo accent word for the word Muslim - it is the redneck word for it. I would have written "musalmaan-"
There are those who do charity, those who do not, those who focus at home and those who do not, those make a show of it and those who do not and there are those who want others to join in and those who want to show others who they are for reasons other than charitable ...
Are we supposed to lament year in year out? Or are we meant to learn and move on? The media is to blame for selective memory of people ... Like the holocaust for Jews - the idea is not that they will not forget it happened ... rather they will never let others forget it happened ... so the 9/11 event has joined the band wagon.
Often in the mind of the unfree thinker ... loss - gives a license to take ...
None is better and none is worse except by conduct and we cannot possibly determine whose conduct is better based on how spread out they are and we can not judge their intentions either ...
