I know plenty of Pakistanis who are doing work to help their own country.

My point was to address Monk’s that Americans give no thoughts to tragedies around the world, which is simply not true. It IS true that we are removed from a lot of the world’s tragedies. And yet still I meet Americans who go all over the world to not just give time and money, but also work with their hands and help people.

It’s really too easy to say, “Americans have no problems at home, that’s why they can help everyone else.” That is just plain false. The point is that there are plenty of Americans who have nothing in common with people they are helping, except that they are fellow humans, and they will go out of their way to aid their survival and improve their lives. That kind of dedication and sacrifice should not be trivialized or simply ignored because people like to equate American people with the American government, or because people like to vilify America because it’s so easy.

Seriously don’t get me started on it!!
Princess is going to end up crying every night before she goes to bed.
