That’s one of the fundamental differences between the USA media…which promotes patriotism and highlights every little act of it’s citizens, and the media back home that only covers sensationalism and world affairs.Here, they know how to instill passion in a little child…my 5 year old knew the pledge of allegiance by heart at age 4, with no mistakes, and recites it with pride toward the flag. I wish we could work on the same passion back home…but how can you amidst so much mess. May Allah protect the people.

Totally agree! Our media just has those national songs played on 14th August as a token of appreciation ONLY -
