Is there anyway we can track our sent emails? to see if the person has read them?
Re: Track sent emails
good question. I like to know the answer too.
Re: Track sent emails
Microsoft outlook has that option. You can get an alert when the receiver has read the email. I used it many a times .
Re: Track sent emails
any alternative for mac?
Re: Track sent emails
Unlike Exchange that feature is not available in all the other email setup. You can, however, use a thirdparty solution like SpyPig
http://www.spypig.com/
You just create an account with them and they give you a small little graphic that you insert in your email. Not only do you find out if ur email was read but also the recipient IP address. But as always don’t use thirdparty stuff in critical email systems. You don’t know what/who they are.

Re: Track sent emails
There is a website called www.whoreadme.com
send an email using this website and not only does it tell you when the person gets it, it also tells you their exact location and IP address.
This website, you don’t even need to insert any graphic or anything. All you do is send an email using this website…
Re: Track sent emails
This thing is pretty easy to construct. Create a Google Analytics account and use their tracker to track your emails. Anyone interested let me know.
Re: Track sent emails
I am interested!!! How do you do that?!
Re: Track sent emails
Well, first we have to cure ur melancholy…
Re: Track sent emails
inserting a graphic in the email isn’t an option. any other way to get read receipt in mac?
this site didn’t work for hotmail.
Re: Track sent emails
Are you serious? I have tried and tested it and it works best with Hotmail!
Re: Track sent emails
^ yup! sent myself around 10 emails and none of them made it to my inbox. not even my junk folder =\
Re: Track sent emails
that’s weird ![]()
Re: Track sent emails
wait is the hotmail email that you registered with, the same one that you are sending the emails to? then it won’t work… send it to some email which is different than hotmail… u can send one to me to see if it works or not
[EMAIL=“[email protected]”]
Re: Track sent emails
nop! tried it on two different ones, on one of them it ended up in the junk folder and on the second one it never went through.
btw, thanks (:
Re: Track sent emails
weird! swear to god when I did it, it worked!! hahaha it’s cool..
lets wait for TofiBaba’s google analytics idea
Re: Track sent emails
LOL, sure.
thanks for trying though! (:
Re: Track sent emails
ReadNotify.com might be the least cumbersome and intrusive of other options. That being said, please use tracked emails and RRs sparingly. I personally hate them with a passion and 90% of the time, I decline the RR in Outlook - not because I’m going to slack off on something that the sender wants me to do, but simply because the sender assumed that I might. On the whole, I consider tracked emails an invasion of my privacy.
Re: Track sent emails
Your welcome and I just like to help. Oh and also the fact that I can’t sleep lol.
