Torture Torture and more torture

Is this what the greatest democracy in the world does? I mean talk about sick. Cruel and unusual punishment indeed.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

With nazi yanks like bush and cheney at the helm what do you expect, they saying torture is justified what a joke they have'nt even closed abu gharib where they committed the sickest and most depraved peverted actions on iraqis how you expect them to close torture chamber Guantanamo down.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

CM you are right, they should listen to you, ak and chuck hagel and close gitmo down. They should then take all prisoners and disperse them to Pakistan, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and maybe Saudi Arabia. Now these countries are the icons of democracies, hell they invented democracy, Americans just copied the idea. Lets see the countries mentioned above and give them proper humane treatment, like having the prisoners smoke a butt from his butt or drilling into the bones, or putting a rat in the shalwar (pants) with leg parts sewn together or having the prisoner lay between two blocks of ice for extended periods of time etc etc etc.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

Verizon i totally agree with you because Pakistan, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and maybe Saudi Arabia would fail to ensure civil treament. Dick is justified and that sets USA apart from Pakistan, Syria, Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Hats off to you with friends like you americans dont need alqaeda.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

LOL. Typical. You guys are so pathetic. You can't even accept what the US is doing is wrong. The height of arrogance that caused rome to fall is seen today in modern day America.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

verizon, as country that wages war on other countries to show them the 'civlised' way, and a state whose citizens claim its the champion for human rights, the hypocrisy is just all the more poignant. Neither saudi nor pak claims half as much. If you (generic) wannabe a git, atleast drop the prententious act. Most can see right through.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

^ who is waging war to show them a civilized way? We are at war to take out fundo muslims in their lands rather than here. I have no issues with Gitmo. These are people who are terrorists, not bound by Geneva conventions. I don;t know what the hubub is. Keep them there..give them some soap and just make sure they don’t desecrate the quran. :jhanda:

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

Sweetie We didnt wage the war, the fatwa waged it on us, now fking grin and bear it. You know exactly what the fatwa from your favorite Amir-ul-momeenen Hazrat Osama bin Lidh said.

Slam a few more planes and we’ll have a mini gitmo with Sgt Graner as the leader in almost every corner.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

yes thats because the theme is that fundos are considered 'uncivilised'. Didn't Bush go on about how us 'civilised' nations wont rest an yada yada yada. You have no issues with gitmo, thats fine. Although that says alot about yourself, this isnt about you. Giving humans a label and putting them behind bars without charge is inhumane, Geneva convention or not. The world an most 'thinking' americans know that. Its too bad for humanity, the rest cannae think straight.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

yawnz yes verizon. An i suppose you enjoy stooping lower than al-qaeda, talibans and saudis? really, we shudnae expect any better shud we?

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

Who said they are humans. Jihadis are subhuman..so human laws don’t apply to them.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

Torture - cruel and unusual punishment - is a violation of your Consitution and you support your govt's violation of its own constitution?

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

The a**hole terrorist

  1. was forced to bark like a dog,
  2. was forced to stand for prolonged periods,
  3. had his facial hair shaved off,
  4. had pictures of scantily clad women hung round his neck,
  5. was forcibly injected with fluids after refusing food and water,
  6. was straddled by a woman soldier.

Ohhhhhh......the inhumanity of it all. While you probably don't hang them around your neck, most of you male keyboard jihadis probably have those pictures of scanitly clad women tucked in the drawer beside your bed. Some of you would probably pay to have your "space invaded" by a women straddling you, especially if she made you bark like a dog.

These acts of "torture" most certainly exceed having your tongue nailed to a piece of wood (gosh, how I hate it when I do that), being dropped in a meat grinder or having your filleted skin used as a lampshade. If this were any prison in the Middle East instead of being Gitmo, you'd probably hold it up as a shining example of Arab or Islamic prison reform.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

Well I didnt want to bring up the skinning alive that their beloved Taliban (the supposed rejuventors of Islam) did to the Hazaras (mostly Shiites and hence munafaqeen), but that would be derailing the thread.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

I see now Verizon you compare the US military with the Taliban. What a great comparision. Its very simple. You guys talk about human rights and democracy yet you are just as bad as the Soviet Union. Bloody hypcrits.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

I don't buy the argument that just because they are 'suspected terrorists' we can do whatever we want with them. Losing the moral high ground to cover up our own failures in intelligence gathering is not the answer.

Even then, I have yet to see stats on how many %age in Gitmo camp are terrorists or even Taliban. And the stats on how many links through them have let the governments around the world make more arrests or even press charges?

And please, lets not compare Talibans to a super power like US.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

CM and Ahmadjee No one is comparing US and Taliban, CM has a tendency to play with words( just like a wannabe diplomat). You can read my post I am just citing an example of the practice skinning alive shiites vs pissing on a holy book. I'd rather they piss than skin.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

those are the most harmless "torture" procedures i have ever head of....what a joke.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

A violation of the US constitution. 'nuff said.

Re: Torture Torture and more torture

ahmadjee: When people start discussing concepts like torture, mistreatment, abuse, etc., you really do have to understand that you can't look at actions as if they occur in a vacuum. These concepts exist only in the relation of one action to another and/or to some norm. Today, some people consider spanking a child as akin to abuse. 50 years ago, it was considered a normal parenting function. For me, I've got to compare an appropriately given and administered spanking to some parent who whips and punches his kid until he bleeds, gets whelps, etc. to determine wheher the former is "abuse."

Now, ask yourself, should forcing someone to bark like a dog be considered torture? Should forcing someone to listen to Christine Aquillera music be considered torture (the terrorist slug was also forced to do that according to Time)? If those things are to be considered torture, are they as evil and sadistic as putting skewers under someone's fingernails? Is forcibly shaving someone akin to cutting out their tongue on an evil meter?

Yeah, I know. America should be held to a higher standard of conduct than Iran, the Taliban, Pakistan, Turkey, China, Russia, etc. We should not set our own standards as low as they set theirs. But you know what? The setting of the bar between a woman invading some guy's space by having a woman straddle him versus chopping off his hand is already wide enough for me thank you.

I again state that if the rest of the world set the bar at the same level we have set in Gitmo, conditions would improve in about 90% of the rest of the world and in 100% of the Middle East.
