Thats right..i have been here for past 6 months officially and came from vancouver BC. And furthermore, i don’t plan on moving to vancouver until i graduate from here insha’allah. So here the bottom line is, i have been here for past 6 months..and it seemed as if i can’t adjust myself here. And there millions of reason for it. So insha’allah insha’llah i’ll BE comming back to BC for sure as its my hometown.
Reasons and negativity that i have noticed and encountered are:
-Pollution in air.( No greenery is promoted within cities, though there are SOME but still need to do more).
-Property taxes are much higher here than BC.
-People seem very very unpatient.(i.e driving, getting on bus by almost pushing at each otha instead of making “lane”..like a civilized citizen).
-People are just onto themselves..they don’t a time to make smiling gesture, in otha word..ppl generally are rude. Particularly desi ones.
So what you think torontians here or others who have similiar stuff going on within walls of their cities.?
Comparing Toronto (where I've lived for the past 2 years) to London, UK (where I grew up):
-Pollution in air.( No greenery is promoted within cities, though there are SOME but still need to do more).
I diasgree. Toronto is a little less green than London, but there is much less pollution in the air. Toronto air is very clean compared to London, and in fact my allergies have completely vanished since moving here.
-Property taxes are much higher here than BC.
No idea - I rent, so haven't faced property taxes yet.
-People seem very very unpatient.(i.e driving, getting on bus by almost pushing at each otha instead of making "lane"..like a civilized citizen).
Agree. Driving especially is considerably less civilised in Toronto than in London.

I like that. It's just like London. I hate it whenever I go to Ohio on business and strangers says "Hi" to me and smile at me and stuff stuff.... who do they think they are? The British way is to let strangers live their own life and not intrude yourself into their space though tlaking, smiling, waving, etc etc.
Where in Toronto? Toronto is full of riverines and has lots of greenry depending on where you live!I Guess Zubda lives in down town...which is full of traffic and commercial buildings.

& When did u drive in London last? 15 years ago when I started to drive in London, it was such friendly place, last years when I was driving on North Circular it seemed like I was driving in Rome or Athens. London driving is now nerve wrecking & drivers are so impatiently awful keh dil karta hay car say nikal keh do raybtay karaoon.
I have been to London, have lived in Copenhagen, Oslo and Malmo and currently residing in Toronto. In comparison ;London is the most over crowded with poorly maintained streets, undergrounds, buses...etc.
Toronto is better but then again it depends where you are living...if you are living in Sikh neigbourhood in Brampton or in Tamil ghetto in Scarborough than obviously it sucks!
