I’ve not been to either, but which one would you reccommend? Is it possibe (in terms of expense) to cover both in one trip?

New York City is much better.

You can do both. It is about a 9 hour drive between the two cities and a ticket could cost you about $100-$300.

More to see in New York. Toronto's about the size of Birmingham... you wouldn't take a trip to Birmingham so why Toronto :D

khuda ka khof karo yaar... Birmingham is more of a borough city
Area wise... Wikipedia notes it being 267.77 km² and population wise 1,001,200.

Toronto on the other hand is the largest city in Canada with a population of 2.48M (GTA is 5.8M). Area-wise Toronto is 629.91 km².

ive been to both, how about i tell you my experiences there, so you can fixate it into your mind that you have also been there. as for the money, save it or buy yourself a car! just let me know! :)

nver been to any of the two..but my first choice would b newyork..then toronto..
but if u have enuff time and ure driving then u should definitely go visit both places since they r not that far apart!

I live in Toronto (a suburb of it to be more precise) and yes the downtown is pretty breathtaking and unlike NYC (which I only know by pics) has a far more balanced skyline (not a cluster of cubes)..
ANYWAY IF YOU WANT THE REAL RIDE GO TO DUBAI (I'VE BEEN THERE SINCE I WAS BORN TILL '04 AND MAN I STILL MISS THAT PLACE)

^^ been to dubai...went in 2005.
