sorry dubai is NO NYC...

NYC rocks...like Toronoto too but but NYC is like no city in the world. There is all the touristy things to do...but whats really fun is gonig the local way....hanging out in Bryant park during lunch concernts, ice skating in central park....yummy yummy food...both high end and dive...

My list of cities I would most like to live in if I was given the opportunity to:

  1. Dubai (or the neighboring emirate of Sharjah where I used to live, nothing comes close, NOTHING)
  2. New York City (okay okay I agree..)
  3. Downtown Toronto right next to the TD Building (I live in a suburb of it and pure downtown living is still a dream).
  4. Chicago or Atlanta..
  5. I think I'd go with.. Islamabad..

You can have equally as much fun in Toronto as you can in NYC. You just need to know the right places to visit.

NYC is bigger and i guess it has its own charm but its considerably more expensive than Toronto too.

What are you looking to do in your trip? What are your interests? You can show up in either city but may not find what you are looking for.

  1. List things you like to see/do. Museums? Art? Shopping? Food? Lights? (:hehe:) Nature? Water? Boats? Landscapes?

  2. Match your list with your cities of choice.

New Yorks is the only city where residents can write New York, New York :)

Here is what i suggest. Visit NY and after that ager $$ bach jaeen tu take a bus to Toronto !!! Greyhound charges 98$ for one way ... !

Bus ride to Toronto is pretty straightforward, specially if traveled during spring/summer. Really good scenery. I love upstate NY, its simply gorgeous.

Bus is an option. I’m looking at greyhound website. 13 hours by bus :eek:

How are the buses usuallY? is there room to get up and walk around?

Although sometimes train is more expensive than air but its better option than Bus coz in Train you are not strained to your seat and depending on how much you are willing to spend, you can reserve a bedroom and have a romantic journey :blush:

Yes, Newyork is very close to toronto, therefore you can even drive down there (in a rented car) instead of flying if expenses are too much of a concern.
