In your opinions, can you list me the five top pakistani designers for bridal wear in Pak beginning with favourite first and stating reasons why you like them!

  1. Bunto Kazmi - no one does traditional like she does plus customer service is awesome

  2. Umar Sayeed - Regal and refined

  3. Sana Safinaz - Interesting cuts and a little more affordable

  4. Rouge - some of their bridals are just stunning, but not all mind you

  5. Nilofer Shahid - I like the experimental streak in her

Karma-traditional and colorful.

  2. Faiza Samee--beautiful embroidery. Most unusual yet brilliant color combinations

  3. Nilofer Shahid--bride is a storybook heroine! Feminine and fun. Like her "inspiration from poetry/history" approach

  4. Umar Sayeed--delicate kaam; ethereal look

  5. Sana Safinaz--sleek and chic! Dull silver kaam looks gorgeous

In no particular order, theyre all kind of amazing

  1. Bunto- traditional and beauuutiful joras
  2. Karma- traditional/modern cuts, designs. use really pretty kaam
  3. Nomi Ansari- one word: UNIQUE! uses a lot of bright, fun colors.
  4. Kamiar Roki- veryy stylish cuts
  5. Mehdi- very contemporary

Reason/s: I've only bought stuff from these designers and they haven't failed to impress me. I haven't worn the outfits yet but i'm pretty sure that when I do people will find them stunning.

Sobia Nazir- she doesn't do much with kaam but her cuts are always hot (for semi formal wear especially)

Nilofer Shahid - her clothes are effortlessly timeless and regale. in addition to her ability to blend colors and fabrics seamlessly and breadth of cuts within the moghul period.

Faiza Samee - her eye for color and ability to mix fabrics and patterns (floral to modern block print) in a way unlike any other designer (velvet and crinkles, in particular).

Bunto Kazmi - her traditional and classic flair, and the intricacy of her embroidery.

Umar Sayeed - his use of embroidery in an over the top way, and tailoring!

HSY - vibrant colors and "lahori" style

This is not a ranked list...

Bunto Kazmi
Pros: Timeless designs; impeccable quality fabrics and embroidery
Cons: Many of the outfits end up looking VERY similar; some outfits are just too over the top

Faiza Samee
Pros: Innovative designs and bold color combinations; preserves dying traditional Pakistani embroidery styles
Cons: Outfits are very hit or miss - the good ones look fabulous, the bad ones are utterly hideous

Mohd. Mehdi
Pros: Sleek, elegant designs for a more modern bride
Cons: The fabrics aren't particularly impressive

Nilofer Shahid
Pros: Perhaps Pakistan's only true couturier; deeply rooted in tradition but not afraid to experiment with cuts
Cons: Not always impressed with the delicacy of her embroidery

Umar Sayeed
Pros: Beautiful, delicate embroidery and lots of it; uses a lot of resham work to keep the outfits from getting too OTT; very innovative with cuts and color choices
Cons: Like Faiza Samee, the outfits are very hit or miss

All of them for similar reasons; great use of regal and elegant colours complementing each other, delicate yet intricate kaam carefully done, and a traditional and timeless eastern look. :)
