Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Oh you need to add to that the one about how they're afraid their food will get stuck in their beard and they wont realize it but all the girls will point and laugh.
:o
It happens.

Sorry, the "lol" was part of the phrase. "Allah guide me" was to be taken seriously.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Please, believers in Islam, this is a holy month! Instead of aruging on things that have been proved to be wajib and pointing on others fault, why not we correct ourselves 1st and give dawah to others.
I don't much to say except, don't take things from Islam that pleases your nafs and leave those which don't please your nafs. Follow Islam as a whole, inshAllah. May Allah Subhaanhu Wa Ta'ala correct our a'amals and guide everyone on to the straight path.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
indeed, and instead of arguing about minutia such as length of beard and whether to put moisturizing conditioner in it..there are bigger things.
I mean our mosques are empty...cheating, lying, ghunda agrdee, gheebat is rampant, haqooq al ibaad are not a concern, but we argue about small stuff.

Pir sahab-
No sunnah is small. and Beared is a Mutawatir sunnah of all Prophets, sahabah, Muhaditheen, awliya and mutahideen.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
bao bihari..
no sunnah is small, but is in no way bigger than farz, and that was the point in case you missed it.
logon say farz toh hotay naheen hai, haqooq al ibaad toh pooray naheen hotay, shirk chorra naheen jata,..wajib, sunah or nafils par magar phadda zaroori hai.
mutawatir Sunnah or whatever, it is no farz anyways.

mr fraudia yeh tumharay under ka shaitaan bol raha hai jo ramzan mein bhi bush wali harkatein kar raha hai.....masla meri jaan banday kay dimaghe mein hota hai.... many of us dont have beards,so we justify by saying it i not farz...many of our family ladies dont adopt hijab,we justify by saying " modern zamana hai larko ko dekhana hai"...i can undertand those forces working behind u......
aik sunnah ko chortay hai hum iss kay baad har cheez chor daytay hai...
unfortunately for fraudia, now one can find many people with beard including huge number of young men...more then ever before...either in universities or offices
i also dont have beard but i really appreciate those who have beard as their faces look much much better then shave guys....
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Thread's about beard and not hijaab. Please stick to the topic.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
I cannot keep beard (not that I want to) even if I want because I work in oil industry and for safety reasons due to presence of Hydogen Sulphide gas which is highly toxic, I may have to wear a breathing apparatus (the mask and the cylinders thing) for escape purpose.
I think same applies for the fighter pilots.
I have heard that alot. In Pakistan there is no such problem most probably there is no H2S problem as such. However my friends working in offshore Qatar do face this issue. Therefore its better to be in exploration or production !
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
In Pakistan you do have H2S but people are not very safety conscious. Exploration or Production doesn't matter, because in exploration wells you don't know what will be coming out and production station gather oil and gas from different wells so again the possibility is there.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
May Allaah give us the strength to follow His religion as taught by His Prophet :saw:, Aameen.
Brother that’s down to cultural conditioning.
Where I come from, amongst my people it is considered effeminate to shave so women say beards look handsome and men without them look like passive-gays, although it is becoming more and more common due to foreign influences (and I’m of the unfortuante who shave) it is considered effeminate.
I personally think beards look cool and add noor to ones face, especially when it is a fine first time beard and it is well maintained (combed/oiled, moustache is trimmed, the hair on the cheeks and throat is removed).
Women in the west are bombarded with images of effeminate-unnatural men so they grow to find them attractive just like freshy women think moustaches are the hottest thing since sliced bread (yuck!), but women coming from socities where beards are the norm will find them attractive.
A man is incomplete without a beard just as a lion is incomplete without its mane. Glory be to Allaah who adorned men with beards and women with locks.
I so want to grow a beard when I see my bearded brothers but it’s hard for me with everything going on against Islam, may Allaah give me the strength. I know that’s no excuse and I’m accountable for not following a waajib sunnah.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) says: "Trim closely the moustache, and let the beard flow (Grow)."
Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A.) in Muslim, Hadith no. 498
Rasulallah SAW had a beard :) He was the perfect example of a human being, so of course what perfect person to follow. It is the identity of a muslim man to have one, all the Prophets and Sahaaba had beards. The sahaabas used to try to dress, walk and talk like Rasulallah SAW so we should try to follow him as much as possible as well. The beard shows you are a muslim and of course all muslims should try to strive to be like Rasulallah SAW so anyone who says anything bad about the beard is disrespecting The Holy Prophet SAW. Would you rather imitate the mushriks or the Holy Prophet SAW?
Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Umar (R.A.) relates that: "He who imitates the kuffar (non-believers) and dies in that state, he will be raised up with them on the Day of Qiyamat (Judgement)."

mr fraudia yeh tumharay under ka shaitaan bol raha hai jo ramzan mein bhi bush wali harkatein kar raha hai.....
lets get one thing straight, you want to address me, refrain from personal attacks. understood? good.
I can start lanching some personal attacks as well, but then I dont stoop to such low levels.
masla meri jaan banday kay dimaghe mein hota hai.... many of us dont have beards,so we justify by saying it i not farz...
forget justification or not. if i had a two foot long beard and I said that t was not farz would it change things, its a fact its ot farz...simple. call it whatever you want wajib, sunnah, fact of the matter is it is not farz.
just like one can not make something that is faraz as not-farz, similarly something that is not farz can not be made farz...period.
...i can undertand those forces working behind u......
aik sunnah ko chortay hai hum iss kay baad har cheez chor daytay hai...
sorry, the qaum in general has not started on basic faraiz. If you go back and read my post it was pointing at the fact that qaum is not following faraiz...but has time to fight about sunnahs and wajibs ad madhab and what nots.
unfortunately for fraudia, now one can find many people with beard including huge number of young men...more then ever before...either in universities or offices
good for those who keep them, they are following a sunna that they think is right. but whatevr they think does not change the fact that is it not a farz.
i also dont have beard but i really appreciate those who have beard as their faces look much much better then shave guys....
why dont you then, Thi sis what is called hypocrisy, give lectures to ppl, but not follow what you think is right and required. I dont think its a farz and dont think it is something that is
P.S. deisis need to understand that its not just growing the beard that is a sunnah but growing a beard and trimming the mustache. majority of ppl in Pakistan who have a beard have a mustache as well.
a person who grows a beard but does not shave his mustache si following only half sunnah
a person who is shaving his mustache but not growing his beard is also only following half sunnah..
sounds ridiculous right? yeah now go tell all dem holier than thou darrhi walay bhai that they need to shave the mustaches :)
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
Good point of view never thought of it in this way.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
This is what is called hypocrisy, give lectures to ppl, but not follow what you think is right and required.
Amen..err..Ameeen to that! You summed it quite well.
I do want to say this that Showkat, you should really verify the authencity of the information that you post, just because you find stuff on a website doesn't make it authentic.
Muslims in the West struggle against perpetuated nonsense against their religion everyday of their lives. Only to find keh apnay ghar mein bhee waisai hi aag jal rahi hai.

Whats wrong with the above?..its a valid reason
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
According to all ahl-e-sunna scholar, mujtahids, imams throughout times, in all the four schools of thought, having beard is WAJIB, NOT a optional sunna as some mistakenly assert.
The length of the beard is however debated on.
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
^ the problem is that people are still confused over the definition of "wajib".
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
So a man has to have facial hair to be close to God.
We're just not sure how long the beard is supposed to be. All the ahl-e-sunna scholars, mujtahids and imams throughout times can't figure that out? Then how necessary can this cultural custom really be?
Re: Top 10 reasons why Muslim men dont keep beards
While denying a farz thing sets you beyond the folds of Islam (whereas not practising it is a grave sin), denying a wajib thing doesnt make one an apostate. But it is still be a grave sin not to practise it (and therefore not something optional).
