oh god, these same people here wouldnt have uttered this defence for meera, had the public figure been say george bush.....im sure that wouldnt have bothered you has much...and since you say you hav not watched her films or interviews, surely you shouldnt be bothered. i suggest you watch one of her interviews to be able to understand the jokes thread on her. trust me, without this, shes nothing.
and bringing quranic verses into silly things is condescending.....just like you shouldnt take qasam on every liitle thing, neither should you be using ayats or anything at all for minor incidents....its belittiling and silly.
