My understanding on TTP is that they have always been part of the history of Pakistan. They are in fact the Qabaili people, with their own customs and they have joined the bandwagon using the Taliban name to gain more international presence. Again they are reactionary, but less so, there is a lot of unfairness that Pakistan’s official have ushered towards the regions with Qabaili control. The Taliban did take shelter with these people during the Afghanistan situation. It is now a struggle … They do not recognise state control of Pakistan … But Pakistan is making it out that they are terrorists … And attacked them, this resulted in them actually becoming a real terrorist threat.
Attacking civilians is not the Islamic way to defend oneself …
