Option #2 because it is highly unlikely that I would like to have any long-term or short-term relationship with a girl before marriage not that I'm not open-minded and all.
As they say in, punjabi, "chaar din shauk de fir kutte phonkte"... meaning despite the idolization of love, relationships and pre-marital physical relationships in our movies/books/liberal-conversations, it doesn't really matter or mean much.... most of the time its simply lust wearing a façade of relationships.
Arranged marriages on the other hand are so much better. Atleast you don't have great expectations.

explain to mom and then if she doesn't listen go against mother's wiishes coz mom is being unreasonable. she has no committment to teh girl she is choosing. she can easily let it go.

i don’t think so, atleast i wudn’t do that ever! i already said in my reply. i think those men who are in no position to choose for themselves and who think at the end thay have to listen to parents, they have no right to start a relationship in the first place. u hear thses stories more from the girls’ side more often when they fall in love and then can’t stand up to their parents wishes…i say that coz i’ve been a victim myself so its my first hand experience. :(**
