Re: To those living in Sindh province..
My father’s family migrated from Shikarpur and my father has many Hindu neighbours. Whenever we used to visit our Aunt in interior sindh, all of us kids used to play together without any discrimination of being Hindu or Muslim. Being neighbours, just like with any other Muslim Neighbour, exchange of food on special occasion was almost a routine. So it was just like a normal life then (not sure about now though).
Then in Karachi, I went to DJ College (Dayaram Jaithmal College) which has a temple in surrounding and hence lots of Hindus visiting the place. They never appeard as “outcast” with their cloths, language etc. In fact my Physics proff was Hindu (Sir Ravi Shankar). A very nice personality. Visited his house many times and appered to me a normal house just like any other Pakistani’s house
PS: All these experiences are from mid-90s. Now sure where things stand right now though.
When I was in DJ, Sir Ravi Shankar was principal of college. I visited his office few time for annual scholarship money and signature on important documents.
