How have you changed for your wife?
And if you’re single, what would you be willing to change about yourself?

Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
as much as my would be asking me without infringing on my right to freedom of following religious codes AND does NOT violate my duties towards my family.
i'll, in exchage, extend the same privileges to her as well. it's ONLY fair! :)
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
For the right woman yes. Not for every woman.
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
I am single but I think i would change little bit for him if he cares for it.
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
This thread is all about women forcing the change.
The most disturbing thing is women think they have the right to change someone in the first place. Secondly, the assumption that they are entitled to decide what the right behaviour is.
I guess what I am trying to say is that if you're trying to change somebody or yourself, it means that there won't be enough love. Unless the SO is on drugs and stuff.
There is nothing wrong with being having standards, it's a guard against unhappiness and if you don't do that you may settle with someone that doesn't meet your standards then it's bad news.
Change bad things about yourself like manners and stuff but don't go over the top.
I don't know what I said and bring in the hate. Off to sleep.

Well, you don't get to press the toothpaste from the middle :(
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
I'm all bout dat, "toilet paper goes under" life, but I'd be willing to switch to "over" for the right woman.
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
Ladies need to learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us moaning about you leaving it down but I can leave it down
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
I don't know.
Gave up booze and smokes.
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
qualities of the "right woman" are what?
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
I don't go out with my mates as often.
Don't work late anymore.
Think more about well being of another person and the kids that we will have (Inshallah).
This is not a change but an evolution. We have both changed (for the better).

PCG..frankly..i don't like to change anyone. I am and let live sort of a person. Unless..something really needs to changed..i.e, say..negative attitude or behaviour..then ya i would expect a girl to change that. I do not like to change anyone..nor expect anyone to change. Another example,..i would neva tell a girl to take hijab on.
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
I can get where this thread might be coming from. Many women or "wives" have this innate idea that the husband should only dote on them and completely forget their own family (sibling but especially old parents). HERE IS A NEWSFLASH: Even a gora advice column that I was reading had the woman suggesting to a wife that don't expect your husband to break it off with his parents because it won't happen (in many cases) and you only will have to regret it yourself. I have seen it in my extended family where this auntie was very cold towards her MIL but when it came the time of marriage for her son, she expected so much caring from the DIL like she had to live with her that the DIL just plainly refused. Jaisi karni waisi bharni is all I have to say.
Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself

There is no special list. Every man has different expectations from his woman. The problem with Pakistani women is that they think change can be forced. It can't. A guy either does it because he wants too or he just doesn't care.

Re: To The Men: Changing Yourself
This is why you should not find interest in garbage men in the first place.
Raising standards is too hard to do, so if they don't meet your standards then find someone else.

The toilet seat has already been settled in their favor.
