You are talking about exceptions. There can be fewer desi men who would marry such girls but majority would NOT. I am generally talking about the strenght of love stories and if love stories these days cannot bear the burden of small issues, rape is a big issue in our society.
I agree. I don't know why everyone is denying this because this is the harsh truth of life.

I insist such behaviour of men would mostly stem from the society and their families which also include their female family members. I guess accpeting a rape victim as a bahu would be big no-no for a mother. So I am not being sexist here. But rather acknowledging the harsh fact as also identified by ZK.

Leaving fiancee/ gf is easy as compared to wife and the social pressure on guys are much to NOT to marry such girl. I wish we lived in an ideal society where such issues become non-issues.

No... if a person has issues with raped girls then people can easily leave their wives as well on these issues. Jo bury hoty hain woh wife ko bhi divorce dey dety hain after such incidents. Jo achy hain woh fiance and gf ko bhi nahin chorty. Its just matter of tarbiyat and other things. And Alhamdulillah DESI men are not that bad seriously. Due to few bad people you should not generalize.

I haven’t heard about any rape case through my personal contacts. Just heard about such cases over news and through the internet. Look at the first comment in the following article.
The authenticity of this comment is not confirmed. But I would have falsely provided you with 3-4 fake stories of such victims.
I don’t say good guys don’t exist in desi society. But they are in minority and we shouldn’t have any hesitation in accepting the fact.

yes…desi guys are scum…i have no hesitation in accepting that fact…but when u talk about desi guys…
but you gotta keep things in perspective…you can’t compare people in a village in raajanpur…and use that as a source of information or for forming opinion about the sort of people you are likely to come across keeping in view the socio-economic background…

But rapes don’t normally happen with people of good socio-economic backgrounds? Do they? Rape victims usually belong to the middle/ lower class in Pakistan and I haven’t heard any girl in Defence Khi being raped. The news channels from Pakistan usually give such news from small cities or villages. High class girls in Pakistan engage in ‘such’ activites with their own free will and don’t get raped I guess.
I guess if we talk about middle/ upper middle class educated people like most of us on this forum belong to, we don’t see much rape cases in our ‘class’ and thus we cannot assume that guys belonging to this class can easily accept such girls. These talks are only talks until God forbids such case happens.

We don't hear such cases every now and then. Such cases are rare and more so in educated, middle/ higher middle class. So I am just using my observation of desi men/ families who are so tough in selecting a girl for marriage that an added factor of rape would be very difficult for them.
When talking about love, as you said in other thread ' the 'love' is just a temporary state of mind......and when it passes......sh!t hits the fan'
I wonder love is strong enough for guys to remain in engagement after their fiancee is raped. Then again, we can only conclude after knowing about such incidences from our own circle and I hope I don't get to know about such incidences ever :(

i think someone needs to get their facts straight
ive personally never heard of anyone leaving their significant other because they had become a rape victim
a few some odd stories you see in the news are not representative of what the majority would do in that situation...because the news does not cover every single rape story out there
however, if someone does leave their significant other primarily for the reason that they were a rape victim, well I'd say good riddance in that case

Since you're only basing this view on your observation (like you say) so your own observation can only take you upto a certain point because you can only observe a small number of people and not saari desi duniya unless you've done surveys. Hence as I originally said your statement is nothing more than generalisation.
