One of my mate said ppl at work thought she didnt have any hair thats why she wore a headscarf …another question… ‘is it coz of the cold weather’
whilst in school my teacher thought if u wore a scarf it meant you were married…ive heard a few stories where youngster have called ppl who wear headscarf ‘Ninjas’. just wondering if any of you sister have come across some of these bizzare people.
orignal -- most people arent all that ignorant. They dont make silly comments about hijab. And if they ever did Im sure they would get an interesting anwer from me.Indeed.
Orignal,
I think the most important aspect of Hijab is that you in your mind should be clear that why and for whom you are observing this Hijab.
As long as its been done for the sake of Allah, peoples opinion and their remarks about your practice should become a secondary issue. But as humans we are all vulnerable and we should always seek Allah's help and guidance so that we remain consistent in our practice.
Minime--Dont get me wrong ,,,im not complaining ,,,i couldnt care less wot ppl thought of me wearing a hijaab ,,i aint doing it for them ,,,i only fear my lord Allah Swt ...
Muslim Queen,,dats exactly wot im say ....it just makes me laugh how illiterate/ignorant some people are when it comes to islam...its kinda funny coz ive been asked by another muslim girl ...if my parents force me to wear it....its a joke ...i wear it coz im proud of being a muslim and believe in the religion of islam and i aint ashamed to admit it...
A black guy working at the mall once asked me if the different colors meant different things, like if you were married or not, then when I told him I just want to match it with my outfit he winked at me. lol
Colleague : is it a special day cos u r wearing a red scarf?

Moron(colleague): We don't let people teach in bikinis y should we let people people teach in scarves?
Me: would wearing a scarf prevent me from doing my job?(which was at that point teaching in a boys' high school)
Moron: it can do... in some circumstances.
Me: (patiently)such as
Moron: I am thinking, don't rush me
Me: When u come up with an example, let me know.
I raised this converstation with my line manager and the moron appologised. I dont think he ever understood y.
