it's so unfortunate we men/women sometimes try to interpret religious scriptures the way it benefits us the most.. hot tea ..what I can see from all your posts here is a reflection of your personal male-dominated upbringing.. please don't try using religion as a tool to legitimize your own patriarchal mentality.. cuz it won't work, it doesn't work that way, you have to accept religion as it is rather than molding it as per your own satisfaction.. Islam honours women, doesn't make them slaves!! as a husband you r responsible to feed her, protect her and take good care of her, in response all you can expect is her care and loyalty to you, and that's it.. you can't make her cook for you, if she doesn't want to cook you have to hire a servant to cook for her, you can't make her serve your parents against her will, you can't stop her if she wants to go out and work .. etc etc wife to obey her husband!! get a life mate!!
