Well, I don't know what you mean by obedience but as a subordinate a woman's responsibility is to protect her husband's wealth and being sincere to him physically, as the verse explains to us.

Its a give and take relationship. The wife is required to ask for husband's permission for even stepping out of the house, taking up job etc.. On the other hand, the husband does not have any right over wife's income, should provide her with living, should provide her separate living, should not force her to live in joint family, should not force her to care for the in-laws etc.

i cant stop laughing at this...obey! you want her to obey you? let me give you some advice for the future...after you tell your wife you want her to obey you..make sure you dont eat, drink or sleep at home for the rest of your life. hide all sharp objects and keep all pesticides out of the kitchen.

it doesn't say anywhere that woman must obey every wish of her husband. it tells women to be obedient by protecting their husbands' money and by being faithful to them.

You know every man who thinks like you is single...not a single one married. Its because women usually dont take that kind of BS and if they do the men end up paying a price for it. Ive seen men who got married and said the same things only to now amend how wrong they were in trying to force themselves on their wives.
You are not God. You did not give birth to your wife. You are a husband...a companion whose reality is just a mere piece of paper. You should realize exactly how precarious your situation is and do your best to maintain a level of respect with your wife.
Men have RESPONSIBILITIES...not even half as many RIGHTS as a woman does if you really start to look carefully.
