could not help laughing my mom has exactly the same problem
my sister has the same problem you are not alone
is this due to diet
or due to work sitting job verses field work
or due to excessive eating
or due to recent change in lifestyle
what do you think caused that condition ? :) :)

stop eating bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, sweets and daal.

eat meat, fish, veggies and fruits instead of desi stapples...and you'll stop having the "desi tummy":D

cut down on carbs and fat in your diet and do 200 sit ups every day:D

I am quiet slim. but its just my tummy...whenever i eat something it gets a bit visible :(

i am at the moment trying to lose many inches around the waist. heres what i do. i jog 20 mins 3 times a week. after, i do 200 situps. 4x50 reps. i eat only low calorie food. i use low cal sugars and low fat oil,spreads in food. you need patience and it could take a while before you notice results. i deliberatly wear tight t shirts so i can judge weight loss improvement as time goes by the clothes should fit perfectly.

chameli everyone has a differnt shape...dieting to try to alterr your natural shape can not work...you can slim or get fatter, but you can't change your bones! and if your frame is made in a way your tummy is visible (my sis is like that) you can't do anything against it....but i warn you against too much dieting: you're gonna get married , as i read in other threads...but look at desi brides: very slim due to diet....the consequence is they get also quit fat after babies:D

remember ths rule of thumb, the more you diet before marriage, the more you'll get fat after pregnancies:D

You need to do cardio. Doing situps won't cause much of a difference unless you get rid of the layer of fat to show your abs ... and the only way to get of the fat is to do cardio ... cardio that actually makes you sweat and gets your heart rate up. Do that at least three times a week plus stomach crunches.

it's not going to make her tummy flater if she is already slim....it may make her breadt smaller, her face more skinny...but if her tummy is naturally a bit prominent...trying to get skinny won't help

Not necessarily Parrissenoor. If she has a layer of fat around her waist that she wants to get rid of, it mostlikely will not go just by cutting down food portions and cutting out carbs alone. Majority of people also need to exercise as well as watch what they eat. Fat burns when your heart rate is up and when you sweat, which is why a lot of trainers include cardio at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes into work out routines as well as monitoring what you eat.

just do cardio mostly running on threadmil 3 times a week and you will not see your tummy same way again. I saw the difference in 2 weeks.

Cardio does not have to be done excessively. Only 2-3 times for 15 minutes can make a big difference if you are very skinny. I would not recemmend more than 15 minutes becuz then skinny person looses they lean muscles.
You will not have you abs showing unless you do crunches, but if you only have to get rid of that lump I would recommend mild running.

30 mins of cardio (running) twice or thrice a week and crunches with weights on your tummy. cut dairy (causes bloating) and refined flour and white rice and sweets. have a large glass of room temperature water with a few drops of lemon first thing in the morning and before every meal.

the odd fried favourite meal wont matter but controlling the eating habits i.e. cream cakes. biscuits, choclate these will not help at all even if you do use tredmill 5 times a week. excecise helps alot combined with dieting

cut down on sugar, carbs, and anything fatty. drink plenty of water, eat lots of fruits and veggies. Most importantly do some ab workouts and cardio.

Concerned about my weight which has increased incredibely in the past 8 weeks. Did not want to starve so replaced my butter intake with cheese thinking it was healthy. Replaced icecream after every meal with fruit yoghurt thinking it had less calories and fats. Reduced portions from each of my meals. Replaced late night meals with a glass of milk. Replaced tea with orange juice. Now after 4 weeks, I saw no improvements. Since yesterday, Ive been checking out the ingredients information of all my diet routine and found out nothing in my diet had fibre but mostly pure fat, milk solids, artificial flavors, etc. etc. etc.

Now Im just pulling my hair and this fruit yoghurt cup I just opened to eat now to kill my icecream craving sits here and I wanna throw it or parcel it to my sister who suggested me to… oopz! Just recalled she had suggested me to REPLACE it with my normal meals and not take it AFTER eating my normal meals as I have been doing instead :smack:

Losing weight was never so difficult before. How do I cut down on my fat intake with all those readymade parathas, new 2 boxes of butter scotch icecream and God knows what not in my freezer??? :crying:

it cleans the digestive tract and reduces constipation/bloating...i guess that improves metabolism.
