Xeno, I think the int'l nanny agencies are still able to function really well even with these new laws...ie., the nannies are college students majoring in early education or child psychology yeah? Its not like they go to remote villages and hire just anyone...so prospective clients (parents) actually are hiring "skilled" labor, kwim? It seems that way in the US anyway, perhaps its differnt in UK
it is same in UK as any other country where it is taken as a PROFESSION and have established institutions to train nanies. Here, we are talking about Pakistan, I never came across any institution in Pakistan, where they train nanies in a professional environment and offer degrees in the field. I hope that clears the confusion.
as for the international agencies, yes they do operate, but they only promote candidates with required qualifications.
