I didn't realise I'm in Poetry section, but since I am here, what a coincident that it is Iqbal's month and a thread on Iqbal, let me confess that Immy has done a brilliant job ar eulogising Iqbal's Shaheen in his speeches. He has effectively made the Iqablian vision of* nojawaan* as majestic and brave shaheen, *and their limitless and unstoppable *uraaan *so popular amongst the youth once again. It is an incredibly clever, evocative and commendable tactic to arouse and inspire the young generation of Pakistan. I think we certainly needed someone to bring Iqbal back to life, we needed a popular leader, a role model to tell young generation that they are the *Shaheens *of Iqbal. After all it was Iqbal who made *Shaheen the ultimate and the everlasting symbol of Youth. His work must inspire our young generation.

No not really. Keats wasn't necessarily a romantic poet, in terms writing profoundly about love between two people, but he certainly wrote some really deep and thoughtful romantic poets for his lover which obviously became his most prolific and widely read work due to the autobiographical nature of those poems. However, more than the poems, his letters to his lover - Fanny Brawne were considered very romantic. They were filled with mutual passion, dreams, wishes, youthful desires and frank attraction, and Keats letters are a literary subject on its own. He was lovesick for most part of his life, and as they say, it was love-sickness that ultimately worsened his actual sickness. I think the idea of young talented poet, unrequited love, and sad and lonely death has made Keats an immortal romantic in English literature.
However, it is quite important to consider he is seen as a Romantic poet (capital R) due to his contributions to Romanticism as a cultural and literary theme and movement of late eighteenth century, a movement essentially a reaction against rapid industrialisation to put forward more natural, spiritual, emotional, artistic, human centric themes.

I agree. death at young age is considered romantic in poetic circles.

Jee suna to theek hai as its favourable weather but ab zaruri nahi raha jiddat jo itni aagai hai, its a long topic and wese bhi yahan munasib nahi, in short yup it izz true..
