As it was my first experience, after two interviews of two candidates and approving them for next stage, I asked my HR colleague, how do we inform unsuccessful candidate? ( We are required to conduct interview send him / her for few minutes outside and then calling him / her in to tell how they performed. Before telling them how they performed, we asked what they think how they performed and rate themselves 1-10 - 1 being lowest, 10 highest).

so the third candidate was confused and was not able to perform well in respect of technical side as well. When we sent him out, we started discussing his performance. I said on technical side he is weak. My HR colleague said then you tell him that he is not being suggested for next interview. I said you tell him. she said ok I will give him clue about his weakness and you cover up that by suggesting how to improve that thing for his interviews at some other place

yes and that was the first hint that I got from my HR that today's candidates try to be over smart by showing extra commitment using sentences like 'Its my dream to be part of your organisation and we will work like anything if selected'.

lols. my colleagues said that HR lady is rigid and you are soft. so candidates would come out ‘saying aunty khaRoos thi, but uncle was supportive’
