it really depends on how imp the event or assignment is.
For instance , lets say its my siisters wedding..I wud take permission to leave the assignment and attend my sisters wedding and complete the assignment after a few hrs…but for a birthday…i dont think so

but you have to plan everything. I've to inform my boss two weeks before I was going to take my abba for medical check-ups, so that he can arrange his schedule. but this all comes when you really step in professional life.
BTW on your sibling's wedding day, you are not supposed to be in office to face such situation :D

oh yes,we have to...I gave that example to explain...tht it depends on how imp the other event is to tht particular person.
Bdays maybe v imp to some and not at all imp to some.So,the answers will vary.

obviously not. but we were certainly skeptical for the candidates who show that they are practical portrayal of 'kaam kaam aur bus kaam'. We have been through this process and we know, no one can behave all the time like this and neither it is required
