that was HR side, I was on technical side

The one scenario that we discussed: if your boss asks you to complete an assignment and you find that it will be completed by say 3 am and you have to work late in night. Then you got phone from your father that its your mother’s birthday and all the relatives are gathered for party and asked you to be home by 8 pm. How will you tackle the situation?

but this will bother interviewer that you are not accepting to give solution for a given scenario.

but yeah…if the assignment cant be delayed..I wouldnt go home either…Since I started work…i miss family gatherings too…
family understands the stuff you have to do for your career.
I’d make it up some other way.

I even took off for a family gathering when I thought missing work that day was acceptable as not much work and it was an important event.
