Only Hadrat Ayesha (RA) out of all the mothers of believers were a virgin at the time of marriage to the beloved prophet (SAW). The Sahabis response was that he had young sisters at home and he did not wish his wife to compete with them, as per hadith you are supposed to marry for four things if I am not mistaken, Beauty, character, wealth and religion and religion is the best of all. Nowhere does it say virginity.
