The controversy of moon sighting is inline with plight of moslems now.
Prophet Muhammad used camel for transportation, I never followed his sunnah and rode camel, instead i ride bikes and cars made by infidels. I know I am a sinner 
I believe all the posters in this thread have abandoned prophet’s sunnah (along with many other sunnahs ), please correct me if i am wrong. If i am right then please explain the reasons

In those days prayer timings were determined by physically witnessing sun movement, now this practice is abandoned, almost all masjid’s have this chart for timing for all prayers all year round and no one bothers seeing sunset or sunrise. It is all pre-determined.

Few centuries ago it was considered blasphamy to translate holy quran in any other language, Now it is translated in all major languages and the whole world use them.
Authentic lunar callender is the need of the hour, you may say anthing today, tomorow your children might remember their childhood
3 When we were kids, there used to be so much dispute over moon sighting among muslim, even in Uk alone, people used to celebrate eids on 3 different days becuase they had no unity. Idiots, they even had moonsighting.com in those days, still they used to quarrel on these tiny issues …
