Salaam all,

I just found out that the creamy yogurt with berries available at Timmie’s has **geletin **in it. The cashier, I think a muslim, told me. She brought out the yogurt that they use and showed me the ingredients… and there it was, dammit!:mad:

Gelatin that is made from animal or gelatin that is made from vegetable? You'll have to call the company and ask them to verify.

Also, if animal gelatin, is it specifically from pig?

Please do call before you believe in some muslim lady that is ... oh God, I wont even go there about how these people act.

coffee and croissant is my breakfast these days :love:
Have to leave early - theres a 24hr Tims near to my workplace - So I get my breakfast there around 5:30 AM or so - then have a wonderfull smoke outside :smokin: before walking to work

I only have a regular coffee from there every morning. I think it’s no good for my diet. I need to start drinking de-caf. :frowning:

I get really annoyed with people when they say, "oh, don't eat that rice crispie! it doesn't have halal marshmallows!" Jesus! Halal marshmallows?! I am not to enjoy my rice crispie just cause there are some minute traces of pig?

Point of this being, if u know there is gelatin or whatever, please please keep it to yourself and don't tell others.Ignorance is bliss.

new cool: there are halal marshmallows in muslim stores :-)
there is nothing wrong with being careful, if u like to take care of the religious dietary restriction.
