Tim Hortons in New York

Tim Hortons opened 13 locations in NYC today! :k: now ya’all yankees will know what the fuss is all about.

Jealous :naraz:

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

can someone tell tim hortons to open a franchise in UAE too? Dunkin’ Donuts sucks so much! I’d be willing to pay the exchange rate for a steamin’ cup of French Vanilla with a double chocolate and a honey cruller :yummy:

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

What do you reccomend to try at Tim Horton's? In terms of drink and say a snack(cookies etc)....
Compared to what place is Tim Horton's really good? Call me crazy but I am digging McDonlads iced coffees these days. Havent had a bad one yet.

I’ll pay too!

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

what is so special about tim hortons? :hmmm:

Get an Ice-Cap. Hazelnut flavored is best. their donuts are :lajawab:, and their french vanilla is unbeatable. oh and their muffins. banana nut is to die for!

Gina, start a campaign to bring them here! :smash:

If they can have one in Afghanistan, then I don’t see why not in UAE.

Well, Tims has Iced Coffee too now… in addition to their traditional Iced Cappuccino. My fav. hot beverage is a half coffee-half french vanilla (just french vanilla by itself is too sweet!). Honey Crullers are good if you want donuts.

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

they have one in Afghanistan?! serious???

why isn’t it in UAE then

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

UAE is monopolised by DD and KK and Tim Hortons dont think they are strong enough to break in to the market. There is no market gap they can exploit?! hmmm

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

If Tim Hortons can establish a niche in USA, from which Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme originate, then I'm sure Tim Horton's can establish itself in UAE as well :)

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

Sure why not, now someone has to give them the** push** to come to UAE. I wouldnt mind knowing what the hoopla is all about... Tim Hortons is a canadian chain right?

Yeah, they’re serving the armed forces - and they’ve got the U.S. Army hooked on double double :hehe:

two aint monopoly Aisha :stuck_out_tongue: - anyways, KK is in a slightly different niche from Tims, and people I know who’ve tried DD and TH almost unanimously agree that TH is much better than DD.

There has to be a reason why TH has taken over 13 locations of DD in NYC.

It’s just that TH being primarily a Canadian chain doesn’t have the brand recognition and it doesn’t have deep pockets / capital to go international at a rapid pace.

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

the power of a double double :hehe:

hey heyhey some of us yankees that live close enough to the border (not the mexican one) know all about the fuss. They have had Tim Hortons in Detroit area for about 5 years now.

But great news!

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

LOL sorry oglopoly? Thats the word innit? For companies more than one having a stronghold on the market? I know that's why I said it is not strong enough meaning financially!

embedded icon in society.. self-contained, available, welcoming, and carries own sub-culture..

food/coffee/desserts come after..

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

i will relish in timmie’s gloryness in a week’s time  :jano:

(if that sounded dirty, then i’m sorry. i tried to clean it up as much as possible :hehe:)

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

Now Officer Barbrady maybe found at Tim Hortons as well as KK and DD :hehe:

Re: Tim Hortons in New York

tim hortons' donuts are the worst. you can get half-dozen for $1 in supermarkets, they are better than tims. i hate tims with a passion but can't help it, i am there 2-3times/week for their iced cap.. :D
