RV. AGAIN you are giving examples of professionals.I remember DW once made Strawberry rice kheer and said it was her own recipe.so yes it is understandable if she doesn’t wants to share that recipe.
But sure she might have learned chicken tikka biryani from her mom or may be cooking video or Google.lets just forget for a min that she has a restaurant.
In my family ok not only in my family but everyone I know here they share their recipes and secret recipe tips easily.but may be it’s not common in other families like you mentioned.

Sharing or not is a personal choice and neither is bad. So why make a fuss about it?
